what toys will you save

Legos, wooden blocks, wooden Thomas track and trains, Playmobil and Cars movie/Hotwheels cars. To me, those are absolutely timeless. All of the cheap plastic stuff will be gone when my son outgrows it.

DD is 3. I have saved all her baby fisher price toys, like the peek a block sets and anything musical. I also saved all the leap frog and v tech learning toys. I got 90% of her toys from yard sales in brand new condition over the course of several years. I don't want to put that much time into creating a new infant toy box. I've got them all stored on the top shelf in the playroom.

DD is still playing with her mega blocks, I have several specialty sets that are cute (regular princess, dragon castle and disney princess) and I will keep all of those. I will also keep her learning to write electronic toys whens she is done with them.

Oh and puzzles. I'm only keeping the wooden melissa and doug ones. I have infant ones with knobs and I have deluxe floor sets for older kids.

Anything she wants to save. I don't mind boxing it all up and letting her decide as an adult later. It's her childhood.

DD's American Girl dolls -- 11 of them stored in their original boxes in the attic with tons of accessories.

DS's Brio Train set & trains

Little Tykes Little People toys.

All of DD's Littlest Pet Shop animals. I sold the other large pieces & accessories, but saved all of the animals. There are hundreds.

More than I want....:sad1: My kids are hard to get stuff away from and the youngest are 12 & 14. I have stored the Fisher Price sets, Match Box Cars, some special books, Rescue Hero's or Power Rangers :) Our sale is July 17th so I've been all over them to weed out. I've threatened to pick and choose myself, they are :scared1:

Legos
American Girl
Toy Story Buzz and Woody
Doll house and accessories
one well loved dalmation puppy that was my sons
one well loved duck that was my daughters

Currently in the attic we have.............
dollhouse made by Dad and Granddad
Tonka Trucks
Fisher Price cash register
Barbie dolls with accessories
wooden blocks
assorted Matchbox cars
Lincoln Logs
a few baby dolls

and I'll save books, especially the award winners

My attic is full of old toys that I saved. My DS's are now 30 & 26. I was tired of hearing DH complain because his mother got rid of his baseball cards so anything we had that was a series I saved. I have the original Star Wars toys, HeMan, matchbox cars, GI Joes, Ninja Turtles and Power Rangers just to name a few. Most of the toys (other than figures) are in the original boxes. My DS who is 30 is married and I keep waiting for him to come and get his old toys. First he said his attic fan wasn't working so he couldn't use the attic, well he replaced the fan and I am still waiting for him to get his toys and sports cards.

I'm saving:

Thomas trains & track

some special Little People sets (sold the majority of our massive collection 2 winters ago)

AG dolls/accessories

peek a block collection

all matchbox style cars

all the Star Wars stuff (this will take up the most space since DH has the entire collection from the 70's-80's plus both my boys have a ton of Star Wars stuff)

all the duplos/legos/lincoln logs/trios/etc

Little Tikes/Step 2 trucks/vehicles

special stuffed animals/special outfits

lots of classic books/board books

some of the little tikes/wooden kitchen ware/play food

potato heads and all the pieces (we have about 20 heads and hundreds of pieces)

board games

sounds like a ton of stuff but we've got 4 kids and TONS of toys. I have gotten rid of rooms full of toys already. Some I regret and wish I had back but others I'm glad to have the space back.

DD has been carrying around a Snoopy doll from Kohls (Kohls cares) for 4 years now, he'll get saved.
Her American Girl dolls and accessories
Anything Disney (stuffed animals, figures, etc). For Christmas one year I got so many Lilo and Stitch items off ebay, new in box. She played with them for a long time, one lilo doll even smelled like sun tan lotion. Those are so special :)
And we have some Little People I already packed away.

I also have tons of Thomas the Tank in the attic, she went thru a Thomas phase with she was 2-3yrs old, I'm keeping them in hopes of one day having a little boy who will play with them.

Hmmm...does this have something to do with TS3???

Princess dresses(not a toy but must be saved)

All Disney plush that we buy at the parks

Pet Shops

Legos

I saved all the legos and knex..we have tons of those. I also saved the doll house and tea set my dd had. I try to only save toys that have survived the test of time.

My dd's are 26 (twins) and if I ever got rid of anything they would have my head! We have an attic & basement full of toys. The ones I immediately remember are:

American girls (2) with clothes and furniture
barrel full of legos
Bin filled with Barbie dolls along with cars, jeeps, and accessories
Precious Key buildings- gosh there must be a dozen. Each one lights up with the key. Along with accessories.
My Buddies- 2 each of boy and girl
boxes of books
2 little tykes homes. One family house the other is a pink grandma's house
Fisher Price Kitchen with tons of food
cabbage patch dolls-2 each
slide projector / record player with books that have slide strips and records
assorted dolls and high chairs
2 rocking chairs
at least 2 large trash bags filled with stuffed animals

The list goes on! Now I just need to marry them off and have grand kids!

All of the Brio wooden train tracks, Thomas the Tank Engine trains, Legos, Itty Bitty Baby 9and accessories), and American Girl Dolls (and accessories). And books. I still have all of my books from when I was little along with all the additional books I bought my kids.
