It was our foster sons first xmas with us. He didnt come with much so over the year I have been buying bits for him.

Anyway he wouldnt ask for anything off santa, due to past christmas dissapointment, he just wanted suprises.

He got lots of different toys, of us and our families, but his main present off us was a Nitendo DS.....he as not stopped playing with it, to the extent that all his other toys are stacked in boxes at the side of my chair:rotfl: I could have saved myself a bunch of money:rotfl2:

I am sure eventually he will get round to playing with them....when I say no more DS for a day probally.

So what was a hit with your kids?

What a coincidence, our DD2 also had her first Christmas with us (her adoption is finalized in January! :woohoo:). Okay, things that we are all loving:

DS6: Razor scooter (he's so excited, a bunch of the kids on the block got them too), DS games (Super Mario Bros, Lego Star Wars), Playmobil knight stuff, Star Wars figures (the chunky ones) and those zero gravity car thingies.

DD4: Bitty Baby, heaps of Bitty Baby clothes, a Chicco doll stroller, Bitty Baby crib, Joovy Caboose doll capsule. She also got a Razor scooter and some DS games (Littlest Pet Shop and Nintendogs) as well as some Littlest Pet Shop figures.

DD2: Razor scooter (one of the three wheeled ones), Little People sets (bus, boat, plane, house, car), Maclaren doll stroller and (like her sister) Bitty Baby, heaps of BB clothes and a BB crib.

Those were just our favorites. Wow, it was a big Christmas! :rolleyes1

We love our Wii too! Although I seem to be the most addicted ;).

In addition:

DS5: art kit (loves art), Glowing Station
DS4: Hulk punching gloves, monster truck that makes sound

I think the TV hasn't been on since Christmas morning because the Wii is always on.

DD25 - the Wii.

DD5 - Kota the Dinosaur. Also, Barbies (and pool and car accessories) and her Ponyville sets.

DS7 - Bakugan (brawlers, arena, shooters and cards). It's all he's played with except for big sisters Wii (and little sister's Ponyville, but don't tell him I told).

Cinderella Castle for DD5 was a HUGE hit. She has not stopped playing with it (in fact, didn't even notice anything else under the tree for almost 45 mintues). The castle was worth every single penny, including having it shipped home!!

dd6- DS Lite is the big hit!

dd3- Pink Care Bear (yes....the plain old fluffy kind--no lights, no noises...just soft love)

Wii and Rockband! DD & DH can't play it enough. DH didn't even want a video game in the house! :lmao:

DS, 4, loves his green Star Wars light saber and his Perry the Platypus!

DD, 3: Loved her Doll house, and her v-smile pocket, and her power wheels that her grandma bought her.

DS, 1: Loves his thomas trains, the train table, and all his cars

DD 6 - remote control pterodactyl (yes, DD) Wii games - (Wii Fit, Raymond Rabbids 2, Mario Party 8), dinosaur tape measure, webkinz

DD 9 - Magical Starsign for DS, Wii fit and games (raymond rabbids 2, mario party 8), American Girl Skin and Nails book, George's Secret Key to the Universe

Me - Wii Fit (my gift, everyone else is taking it over!) and a Zune! Wasn't expecting it and thrilled to have it.

Really, the girls are thrilled with everything they got except the Hannah Montana video guitar game. DD 6 got frustrated, DD 9 thought it was boring and the guitar was too small.

DD7 has not put down her American Girl doll yet. She even sleeps with her, even though grandma got the doll her own bed!

DS17 loves his XBOX 360 which was a combined birthday (12/24 birthday) and Christmas gift.

DS6 favorites are his PS2 his older brother scored for him, an electric guitar and his Disney Mix Max.

DD2 loves her FP Loving Family dollhouse. Thank goodness because it was a nightmare getting our hands on one for her!:worship:

DS 8 loves his lights! He loves to put on "concerts" with his keyboard and had asked Santa for some lights and an amplifier. The lights were just cheap clip on lights from Home Depot and he has not stopped playing with them yet.

His other favorite is his Coast Guard Legos. He got two sets (ship and Helicopter) and had them built in no time at all!

The Wii of course and individual gifts:

8 yr old DD-AG Mia doll

6 yr old DD-her hockey stick :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: She's been playing hockey with DH in the basement since she got it Thursday! :)

DD loves Kota the Dinosaur and Cinderella's Castle (I agree...well worth the price of shipping home!)

Bendaroos! Seriously, DS9 and DD5 have been playing with them for HOURS. My SIL and BIL got them for the kids and they won for buying the best present of the year!

Another big hit was the Hannah Montana Beach House- it was a gift for DD5 from the in laws. DS9 has been playing with it, although he would die if anyone knew that :rotfl: DD5 also LOVES the Fur Real Biscuit dog.

Both kids gots new bikes, which they haven't even ridden yet as they've been so busy with their other toys.

HAHA. I saw this commercial last night and thought they looked pretty neat myself. Glad to know they work and are a hit!!

So the only thing my dd8 has asked for this year has been the ag doll samantha and to our amazing surprise she was on our door step when we got home from disney on the 24th. The biggest surprise we got that night was when we went to my families for xmas eve and my grandma had actually got dd a Mia w/out anyone knowing my dd was so excited she hasn't stopped playing w/ her. On xmas morning she practically hyperventilated seeing samantha b/c she knows she is being retired. Poor sam hasn't even been taken out of the box yet b/c dd hasn't stopped playing w/ mia and the two wii games that she got wii music and guitar hero. My dd5 has special needs and the one toy that she literally has not let go of is a little tykes guitar she has even been sleeping w/ it and don't forget her wow wow wubbzy and mickey mouse clubhouse, and little einsteins dvd.
