what to wear ??

Ok, here is my question.
I made ps's for Cali Grill and Narcoossees. They said to dress appropriately for these restaraunts. I won't have a problem because I am the wardrobe queen and have packed anything I could possibly need.
However, DBF is another story. Will nice shorts and say a light sweater or dressier shirt be ok. ( by nice short I mean a pair of linen pleated shorts). He is not thrilled about having to bring khakis or dress pants on vacation. Are jeans appropriate if worn with a nice shirt??
Please help !!!

While jackets are not needed at either of those restaurants, a pair of chino's would be preferred to shorts. IMHO jeans are not appropriate, and I want to think are highly discouraged at the CG. Not sure about Narcooses.

If you are going anytime soon it's been REALLY cold, and he'll be FREEZING at night in shorts.

Other than no bathing suits or tank tops, neither restaurant has any dress "code". Dress however YOU feel comfortable--you'll always find many others dressed in similar fashion.
We always wear nice walking shorts and our newly purchased Disney T-shirts to both of these restaurants. Never, ever been any sort of a problem.
We usually go in the warmer months, but at our CG meal last December. we saw patrons in Jogging Suits and several in jeans and sweatshirts. But there were others dressed in chinos and nice shirts, and I saw one or two ladies in in dresses and several men in jackets.
Bottom line--be neat, but dress however you like!!

CG doesn't dicourage anything but tank tops.

I have worn "dress" shorts and a collared shirt and fit in fine. You will see people dressed in suits and you will see people dressed theme park TOO casual.

I think you will both be fine.

My dh has worn shorts (nice) to both restuarants and there was no problem.

He'll be fine with nice shorts in warmer weather. Like Uncle R we noticed people in jeans at CG in December but it was very cold. At both restaurants you'll see a wide variety of dress.
