What to wear?

I have never been to Disneyland before and my dh and I are taking a short trip Feb 24- 28. My question is what should we pack to wear. We are coming from the freezing cold Buffalo area. I hate to wear sneakers, but was wondering if it's too cold for sandals/ flip-flops ? I forgot what 45-70 degrees feels like lol. TIA

I would take your sandals/flip flops--but also take some warm socks and comfortable shoes. This is because there may be times when it is warm enough to wear the flip flops, but it is still February. The sun goes down early (around 6:00), and when it gets dark, it gets very chilly fast! It isn't fun watching fireworks when you are shivering or your feet are cold. Anaheim has this damp sort of cold that feels colder than the actual temperature.

Yeah, I would agree with the previous statement saying that it's a "damp cold" that really chills you up. Never could explain that before that was perfect in my opinion :rotfl: Thank you!!

But in the mornings it's a little chilly, nothing a light jacket can't fix. Since you'll be on the move most of the time, you should be feeling pretty good, considering you're coming from MUCH colder weather. The afternoons are PERFECT in my opinion right now. Although the past couple of days have been a bit windy, but that's a little strange :confused3 I would come prepared with pants/jeans, tshirts and long sleeve, and jackets or sweaters as well. You'll see some locals coming with ski jackets, mittens and earmuffs on :lmao: but I consider them a little crazy myself :thumbsup2

i was wondering the same thing myself. last trip was first week in april and we needed jeans and light jackets for evening and morning.

I forgot all about daylight savings not being in effect! Does that make a big deal? a little worried about it being dark by 5:45! :(

We went in January. Lows were in the low 50s, highs were in the low 70s to low 80s. I wore sandals and skirts the whole time. Never broke out my tennis shoes until we were heading back home. I would check the weather when you're packing, though, and see what the prediction is.

We're from Buffalo also-will be there at the same time-I plan on crocs, capri jeans, light jacket and of coarse some warm clothing just in case--I can't wait to get out of this cold!!!!!!!!

We're planning on layers. Its supposed to be unseasonably cold when we're there next week and the mornings/evenings look to be in the single digits (Celcius). I think we'll go in pants, tshirts and sweaters and plan to shed the sweaters as it warms up.

I wore sandals once to Disneyland and I regretted it terribly! Even though these were comfortable, well worn sandals, I had awful awful blisters. Its just so much walking. I'm bringing the most comfortable, plush sneakers I own. No chance of blisters with those puppies!:thumbsup2

We were there a couple of weeks ago and I wore my Teva flip flops (which are more comfortable for me than my sneakers.) It was chilly (in the 50s), so I did wear sneakers the next day. I do live in Phoenix though so anytime the weather drops below 60 -- that is pretty cold to me! I had on my jeans, long sleeves and a jacket, with my flip flops! :goodvibes

DH and I love our Teva Mush flip flops too!:thumbsup2

Here's a link...I would strongly recommend these for walking in the parks on the warmer days. I can walk ALL day long and have NO issues at all. These flip flops actually mold around your feet, they are just amazing! Here's where we buy ours, the best deal I've found so far! Online coupon codes and promos bring it down to as low as $10 per pair! Excellent!:cool1:
