What is acceptable for "pooh" sized people to wear at WDW? Shorts? Tank tops? Shorts? Dresses? Or is it best to wear long pants that cover up everything?

some "pooh" size people let it all hang out= gross!! I am a plus-sized woman and wear cotton capris with a nice cotton blouse- nice and cool for september trips. When are you going? The seasons kind of dictate what you can and can not wear however.

I have a Mickey Mouse shirt that shows 12 pair of mickey shorts (all the same) with a mickey mouse on it that says
WHAT TO WEAR???

For your answer to your question
Wear what ever is comfy

Have a magical nite

I say wear what makes you feel good, it's your vacation. ENJOY!

I am also Pooh-sized. I plan to wear mostly capri pants and t-shirts/short-sleeve button up blouse w/ tank underneath. As nice as it would be to wear shorts, I just wouldn't feel comfortable. But it's because of how I would feel. I'm not necessarily worried whether or not other people like it. To prove that, I'm wearing lime green crocs, even if others think I look like a dorky clown :clown:

Hi!

I plan to wear a mix of capris and shorts with cotten t-shirts. Shorts are not quite knee length. Just wear what is comftorable! Have a great time!

I agree with everyone else who says wear what you are comfortable in. It all depends on how you feel. If you are comfortable wearing tank tops and shorts, then so be it. You will see LOTS of different dress styles around Disney, but the best part about it is that usually people are enjoying themselves, so they really aren't paying attention to what you have on. (Unless of course you are wearing something that's screaming for attention!) :scared1:
To be honest, I wouldn't normally wear tank tops or sleevless shirts around home, just because I'm so self concious, but I don't think I would mind wearing them at WDW!

based on comfort, not on fashion, I choose capris over shorts because with that much walking, on MY pooh sized self, shorts ride up and are incredbly uncomfortable.

I just got back and I'm Pooh sized. I wore longer shorts and sleeveless shirts or tanks, but not tight ones. I buy my tops a size bigger than I need. I saw some pretty gross things while I was there, so whatever is comfortable is OK.

Wear whatever you feel comfortable in. It's your vacation and you should feel good in whatever you wear regardless of your 'size'. Have a wonderful trip!

Wear whatever is comfortable for Y-O-U!! It doesn't matter what others might think, as long as you are happy. Remember that NO ONE looks good (regardless of size) unless they feel good about themselves and are happy--so the only thing I would worry about is putting a huge smile on my face every morning--you're in Disney world for goodness sake!! ;) Be practical about your wardrobe, and don't worry about being fashionable!! I personally find capris the most comfortable--even in the heat and humidity--because they don't "ride up" and cause the dreaded chafing. I realize I probably look pretty silly walking around all day in my capris with my comfy socks and New Balances on--not a very fashionable look--but I am comfortable all day, have no blisters or chafing, and I enjoy the heck out of my vacation! I think most people commit fashion faux pas on a daily basis during their WDW trips (I don't think Goofy hats and lime green Crocs are on the top of Vogue's style list) but we wear them with pride and enjoy every minute of it!!! Enjoy your trip, be comfortable, and take lots of pictures to make the memories last a lifetime! :thumbsup2

I am pooh-sized and I could not have said it better.
I would like to add that I have purchased 5 pooh-sized Disney t-shirts from zazzle.com and I am so excited! You might want to check it out yourself. Have fun on your trip!

I agree, be comfortable!! I'm a little on the plus side too, and I plan on wearing loose shorts and light t-shirts. I think you just have to be tasteful. I figure if people don't want to see my chubby pastey legs, then they just need to turn their heads! :cool1: Of course, personally, I wouldn't wear tight revealing clothes or short-shorts, I'll leave that to the teeny-boppers, who haven't had a chance to grow their cellulite yet!

It's your vacation, and it gets hot and sticky, you need to make yourself as comfortable as possible, so you can go the long haul! Don't forget the baby powder to help prevent chaffing!

You wear what is comfortable for you! I have a number of girlfriends who refuse to wear a bathing suit in public. I say so what! No matter what size you are you should be able to play in the pool and have fun! I know we have all overheard people making comments about larger folks saying things like, "She should NOT be wearing that," as if because you are overweight you should cover yourself head to toe in black lose fitting clothes. Sounds mighty hot and uncomfortable to me! My tip for chafing with a sun dress is to buy some type of non-girdle undergarment that fits like bike shorts. You look cool and breezy and no chafing.

On our last trip, I wore a mix of capris and bermuda shorts. I LOVE bermuda shorts. You get the coolness of shorts but not the discomfort of them riding up.

I am also a large Minnie Mouse!! I wore capris and t-shirts, I couldn't do the bermuda shorts, my legs were just too white even for me!! LOL!!!!

Keep comfortable and don't worry, there are more of us then you can imagine. I never felt like people were looking at me and commenting. I think people at Disney are trying to enjoy themselves and have fun with family. I was not the heaviest Minnie Mouse, nor was I the lightest! I just had fun!

Have a great trip!

Don't worry about what you wear! You should wear what makes you comfortable. It shouldn't matter if you want to let all of your fluffiness hang out go for it! People will either love it or hate it, all that matters is that you love it:)
