What to wear to signature & 2 credit dining TS?

To CRT, HDD, BD, and MBBQ, it will be shorts and character tees. To Narcoosees, I have a pair of capri/shorts (black with a linen feel), and a sleeveless blouse (feels lke a light polyester cotton with a print) with beige sandals. I know I have a short sundress that may still fit around here somewhere. My issue is that I find it difficult to find semi-dressy clothing for my body type. I am a 12/14 with a large top and much of my weight in the belly, with what my DDs call "chicken legs". Not easy to find something cute & semi dressy for the hot weather with that build. If anyone has ideas with a link, I'll most certainly check it out. Now, DH is another story. He has a few short sleeved Disney polos with a small, polo type character sillouette. Will this work for him?

All of that sounds good including the disney polo. The dress code includes everything except ripped clothing, hats, flip flops and bad language t-shirts.

Based on your original inquiry: You won't be turned away from any of these, but as others have said, you may feel a little underdressed at Narcoosee's. The rest you'll fit right in.

Even at Narcoosee's, I could see a high quality plain t-shirt maybe working. I'm not talking your Hanes triple-pack, but a $25 dollar cotton shirt from a department store paired with dress shorts and maybe some accessories for the ladies would be fine. A guy could probably get away with dress shorts and a dark color t-shirt. Again not Hanes triple pack (nothing against Hanes) but maybe a Polo t-shirt with a tiny logo.

What you suggest above is fine.

We do Signature restaurants exclusively and in the last 5 years, I probably can count on one hand the # of times I've seen a woman in a dress with heels. Or without heels, for that matter.
Or a man with a jacket.
Saw it once at California Grill, but they were a group of locals just coming from work for a special dinner. They were right next to us.

If a dress code is not enforced, it is irrelevant. You can post it at the entrance to every restaurant and it's still irrelevant.

Believe me, the "business dress code" is NOT enforced by Disney -- even at evening F&W Events like Regional Dinners and Signature Dinners.

It most definitely is not enforced for the average diner in a signature restaurant. So, it's very much wear what you want -- just don't go in a swimsuit or in your birthday suit, and you'll fit in fine.

Those who say people dress up at Narcoosee's obviously haven't dined there very often.

V&A is the only restaurant (other than the Swan/Dolphin restaurants) that enforces a dress code. And, they do enforce it there. So, it matters there.

For everywhere else, park wear is fine (except for tank tops on men). They say no ripped jeans but someone posted recently they saw a group of people in ripped jeans arrive at a signature restaurants and no one stopped them or said a thing.

No enforcement = no dress code.

lol never eaten in one around me then cause I always end up wearing a dress as I never get to dress up at home so make the most of it on holiday!

Not having a go but just because it's not enforced doesn't mean that you should ignore it. Personally I don't feel comfortable in a signature restaurant in park wear but I guess its a personal preference in the end. I agree that Disney don't enforce the code stringently enough but this doesn't mean you should just ignore it otherwise they will start enforcing it stricktly

DH and I have been to many signatures over the past few years, including Narcoosees...and have only seen a man dressed in a suit once and a women in a fancy dress and heels twice. I have seen many women in casual sun dresses and sandals, and lots of capris. Men are usually in shorts and polos or nice Tshirts...especially in the hot summer months.
I usually wear a nice pair of capris, sleeveless matching top and sandals, and ususally fit right in.

I am a very basic packer and find that I normally bring the same type of clothes with me. Normally at signature restaurants I will wear black capris, white t and a cardigan or top of that sort. DH will be in a golf shirt and shorts, khakis or jeans...I try to get him to wear nicer shoes but he loves his sneakers. DS wears basically the same type of clothes as DH.

I am not the type to wear character shirts but I think it would be fine. Disney has a very resort friendly dress code and park attire is OK most of the time even in the signature restaurants as long as the attire adheres to the dress code as a previous poster listed.

Are character t-shirts allowed in signature restaurants - Absolutely!

Are they appropriate - Absolutely not!

But I don't make the dress code. pirate:

I think their appropriateness is defined by whoever owns/operates the location. Disney clearly has no problem with character tees at signature locations since the only tees prohibited are those with graphic/offensive content.

I always just throw a T shirt on with my speedo and flip flops and do just fine at resort signature restaurants.

I do try to wait until I stop dripping before going into the restaurant.

A T-shirt??

Why bother? You must be going to some pretty fancy restaurants.
