What to wear to MVMCP?

The temperatures in December can really vary. I would plan to layer a long sleeve shirt with a short sleeve shirt underneath. If it is really cool out, you could put a long sleeve sweatshirt underneath the short sleeve t shirt. I would suggest purchasing t shirts that are a bit larger since they will be over top of another shirt. Take lots of pictures of your family - I'm sure they will look awesome!

I was there the same time, and we had bought the short sleeve shirts for the kids, and baseball shirts for the adults and we had record high temps. I had brought a red turtleneck to put under my son's tshirt for the party if we needed it, but it was warm. We never wore a sweatshirt, wore shorts every day, and only one morning when we went to mk for opening, my son wore a jacket, but I was fine in a t-shirt. We really lucked out. I did pack long pants and shirts for us that never got worn. Here's a pic of us at the party. It is so much fun. Have a great time.

Funny, I just posted this on another thread this morning. I'm jealous of all of you going for Christmas this year.

please tell me we'll be able to buy those cute christmas mickey ears in the park. love em':santa:

I was at MVMCP in early December 2007 and had bought a long sleeve Christmas tee from Target and wore it with capris. It was about 85 before the sun went down on that day......I was kind of hot. Then got soaked on Splash Mountain and it cooled me off.

The high temps also rendered my Mickey santa hat unwearable. Yowzers!

I had a sweatshirt tied around my waist but didn't use it once.

It also made drinking the hot chocolate a little odd. I don't understand people who can drink coffee in the summer!

The point is: you never know! Definitely plan on layers or more than one option!

I think that you have received some very good advice here ... we went in December last year and it was cold! Even my DH (who wore shorts all week on principle since it was snowing at home) froze the night we went to MVMCP (I think it was around 45). I was glad for my long sleeve shirt, sweatshirt and mittens (although I was told the mittens were over the top but my hands were cold and they are expensive to buy when I have a ton here)!
Pack for the layered look and you should be fine.

After last Xmas I purchased those cute Holiday Mickey sweaters, gloves and Mickey Mouse ears Santa hats from Disneyshopping.com, so cheap! So that's what we're wearing to MVMCP.

You should. We bought them in MK, but I'm sure they will have them everywhere. They were great because they were a headband, so they weren't hot at all, as opposed to the mickey santa hat. Have a great trip.

We've been talking about doing matching scarves in our GG party! Maybe red for the girls, green for the guys (although I can already see the fight there to get them to wear them- they're too "cool")!! Ahhh... But anyway, we can wear them over t-shirts I guess b/c we're going Nov 8-15th.

I can tell ya i live here in FL, and the temps can vary from day to day..my suggestion for most comfort is to dress in layers!! I would get a t shirt, wear it under a sweatshirt and bring a jacket..plus it all depends where you are from..us FLoridians here freeze if it gets below 70 degrees, but if your from Michigan or something, you may love the weather here!!

But if you dress in layers, at 4pm..it still may be warm..like 65-75 degress, and depending on the night, it may get down to 40-50's, it does get cold here in FL, we have had nights in the 20-30's. .but its funny i think Disney makes millions every night when everyone is running to the gift shops buying sweatshirts and jackets!! So, just be ready!!!:santa:

When we go to a hard-ticket event, like MVMCP, we do themed shirts for everybody in our party.

Anyone else have cute ideas on what to wear? My DH doesn't really want to do t-shirts...anyone else have something cute that I might be able to get my DH into???

I would get the t-shirt and layer it with a long sleeved shirt underneath. If you get the long sleeves and it's considerably warm that night, it will be more uncomfortable, whereas the t-shirt can be worn with or without the long sleeved first layer to accomodate the weather.

I would think anything holiday colored/festive would be perfect.

Our last MVMCP in Dec 2006 - somewhere around the 7th? - it got very cold that night and we were freezing in jeans, shirts, fleece jackets, and ski caps, lol. Wish I had gloves - couldn't feel my fingers. Temps were in the low-to-mid 40s and there was a strong wind to create a wind chill that was closer to freezing. Not comfortable at all.

But better to be freezing in WDW than out of it! :)
