Trying to figure out what to do for our matching family shirts for MVMCP on 12/1 - I know no one can predict the weather, but we've never been in late November/December and was wondering what the majority of folks would do for the Christmas party...

Thank you!

I don't think you can possibly know until the day of. My personal opinion is that you at the very least would probably want some type of jacket if you are in shorts and t-shirts. We have gone in t-shirts/shorts and also jeans/sweatshirts. I sometimes have had light hat and gloves. We have always stayed until the end and that's when you will notice it getting cooler.

So, as for your survey, I can't answer because for me it's all of the above!!

You could do t-shirts, and, if it's too cool for a short sleeve, layer solid color long sleeve thermals or tees underneath.

If you are wanting to make shirts, then I would go with short sleeves. Then you can bring jackets or put a long sleeve shirt under the short sleeve shirt if it is cold. The year I was there in December, it was mostly short sleeve shirts during the day and light jackets at night. I have also been in January and February times that I had to bundle up one day and then needed shorts the next day.

The two parties we have done (both in November) we wore hoodies or jackets.. It did get a little cool... We rented lockers and stuffed our jackets in them so we didnt have to carry them around during the day....but when the sun went down we had one person go and get them right before the parade started (since we were on main st anyways)

I brought a jacket and a scarf and couldn't make it as late as I wanted to. I remember shivering on the peoplemover in the wind. But I'm from CA and my definition of cold is different from someone that gets real weather in the winter.

I am going on the 8th and planning on a long sleeve tee. Will bring a thin zip up hoodie just in case. By the time of the fireworks it can be chilly when just standing/sitting around.

Last year Dec 11 we needed winter coats, hats and gloves. You never know...

A few days later when we were leaving it was warmer.

I have gone many times over Thanksgiving and Christmas and the important thing to do is bring clothes for both extremes. Sometimes, it may be closer to 80 in the day with evenings in the 60s, and others could be closer to 60 during the day and in the 40s at night. I usually try to layer, but I'll usually wear a button with a sweater or light jacket as my layers. You can also buy a themed sweatshirt if needed at the party.

There's no way to know what you will need till you get there. Pack layers and this way you will be comfortable no matter what the weather is.

Don't make the decision of what to wear for an evening party on 12/1 before the evening of 11/30. You could be in shorts, you could be in a ski jacket. No one knows at this point.

We will be wearing our Mickey Christmas T Shirts with long sleeve t shirts underneath and I will bring sweatshirts just in case. I will also check the weather that morning to see if we need to bring anything heavier.

We have been that week several times and have been to MVMCP at least once and usually more on all those trips. I did not answer your poll because it is impossible to tell. The Florida weather is extremely unpredictable that time of year and it changes really fast. You can not even trust the local whether predictions the day before your trip-we found that out the hard way our first trip that week. Our first trip that time of year the weather the day before we flew out said it was going to be in the low 70s for highs every day. I packed jeans and thin long sleeved shirts. It was in the low 70s our first day and then they had a heat wave and it was 83 to 87 degrees the rest of the week and we were sweltering in the clothes we brought and had to buy T-shirts. I have packed cute matching Christmas wear for MVMCP, only to find it was way too hot to wear it and short sleeves and shorts were what we needed to wear. I have also been to MVMCP that week and been in a sweater, coat and gloves and still been freezing. We have been to WDW that week and been in shorts and t-shirts all week, while others have told us it was freezing the week before and they were wearing coats. We have been to WDW that week and started our week in shorts and short sleeved shirts day and night and ended our week freezing in sweaters, coats and gloves. Just pack a little bit of everything. As far as what to wear to MVMCP, bringing something festive to wear is fun and great in pictures, but be aware that it may be too hot to wear it, or it may be covered up with a coat- you just never know that time of year. I would not spend a whole lot of money on something just for the party, unless it is something you will wear at home too.

We plan on renting a locker that day. We're bringing stuff to layer in case of chilly weather. UA type of long sleeve for under our Christmas shirts, jackets if needed, and pants if we wear shorts during the day.

I'm so wishing we were in a DVC unit now - 4 kids and lots of different weather apparel means a lot of packing, would be so nice to have a washer and dryer!
