What to wear for June trip?

We are heading to DW the last week of June. I am just wondering what would be the coolest thing to wear and also the coolest thing to dress the kids in. Last trip DSD was in the stroller and I was carrying a backpack, both of which are not in the plans for this trip. Any materials that are cooler than others?

We wear lightweight shorts and a light colored tshirt or tank top. And don't forget a hat!

I just bought Cool Fabric wicking shorts for my DS (11 yrs.) at Target.
They are in the basketball styled sports clothing, new for summer.
These are very soft and look as if they will be very comfortable to
wear in the heat.
We are Going to WDW in mid Sept.
He usually wears the simple elastic waist jersy sport
shorts for summer and this is the 1st year I saw them
with the cooling fabric.
They cost $8.99 and come in XS--XL boys the colors they come in: red/white, black/white, navy/white.
I think I will be going back for the shirts that match.

Think hot & humid.

Cotton is very bad at drying in the humidity and denim is just off the charts a bad idea. Keep in mind cotton undies will still make you miserable under those quick wicking clothes. Socks and sneakers are horrible once wet but can work if you have back-up flip flops in your bag for everyone in case they get wet or in case it rains or you go on a water ride to keep the sneakers & socks dry.

I'd recommend nylon EVERYTHING and non-leather non-cotton sandals... NOTHING dries in the wet sticky sun.

But Have not yet found them for boys.
Still looking! found wicking fabric underwear for me and DH at Target.
They have wicking socks for everybody in the family.
We wore the socks or last WDW Vacation and they worked
great, our feet stayed cool and dry.

I didn't know they made wicking undies too, good to know

I just stuck with nylon for me. DH & DS wore long swim trunks that look like shorts and DD wore a swim suit with nylon shorts over it...of course we all had 2 suits each and after each day I'd wash them out & hang them in the tub to dry. I think the wicking ones would work better are they $$$?

I buy most items at Target and their prices are not
expensive at all, but if you go to a special sports store
then the wicking fabric clothes are costly.
This fabric also breathes so they make you feel cooler,
not sure about wearing Swimwear to the parks?
