Was wondering if it was o.k. to wear nice jean shorts and a nice t-shirt to Emeril's Tchoup chop. Do you have to get dressed up or is it o.k. to wear casual attire. I know no sleeveless shirts are allowed so we won't wear them.

i would go with resort wear. I like to get dressed up so I wore a "trendy" casual outfit with sandals. I think you could wear jean shorts and a tshirt but you might feel a bit underdressed. They won't turn you away.

I think guys would feel okay in chinos with a polo shirt and casual shoes.

Totally agree with prncess674.

Lunch or Dinner?

For lunch I'd have to say pants are definitely optional ... any shirt with sleeves and shorts will do ... maybe a bit more dressed up for dinner, but not much more ...

Hi,

I was just there on Wed. May 29th around 6pm and I didn't see anyone wearing jeans or jean shorts. Looks like most the men wore either docker style pants or dress style shorts with a button down shirt or polo style shirt. The women wore sundress, skirts, pants and some wore dress style like bermuda shorts. However, I am sure you wouldn't be turned away if you wore nicer clothes either!<BG>

PS
Make sure you confirm your res same day before 3pm...we forgot and lost pre-made res. and had to have concerige at the resort get us in for a later time.

Enjoy! Mmketeer

Yeah, I know what you meant but it still sounds funny! Especially for Tchoup Chop.

When we were there for dinner (mid-May) we saw everything from shorts (nice shorts, no cut-offs) to nice dresses.

I was just there Thursday (which was the 29th Mmketeer!) and there was one couple that came in dressed in "park" clothes. They looked very out of place IMO. Most people were dressed in nice pant suits or casual dresses for the women and khaki's and button up shirts for the men. There were a few that were VERY dressed up. So you can wear what you want to - but since you're asking, I assume you want to feel like you're dressed appropriately and I would definitely recommend something a little dressier.

Another recent visitor!

I was there with Barry and my son on Sunday, June 1. Barry was worried about the "dress code" so I called and asked.

The guy I spoke to told me that the only things that are not tolerated are tank tops (no sleeves), muscle tees and cut off shorts. In other words, don't look like you just came off the sand in beach bum attire. The guy referred to their dress code as "park chic"... whatever that is.

Hey, they let me and Barry in... How particular could they be???? :teeth:

So no sleeveless shirts but you can wear a sundress??? Please help me. We are going for lunch June 14 and I want to dress appropriately. I have a nice capri/blouse set but the blouse is sleeveless (but not a tank top). It may have a cap sleeve, but I can't remember now and I am at work and can't check. But a sundress (sleeveless) would be ok?? Do they mean men only or women too?

Maggie

They mean no tank-tops. And even those would be ok on women - if it's a nice tank top-like a dressy one or silk - not a "You may be a redneck if..." tank-top!! A sun-dress is certainly fine as well. The outfit you've planned on sounds lovely and will certainly be fine.
