what to tell housekeeper?

My Step-Mom has a serious case of OCD!! She bring her own sheets, pillows, etc., even a SUITCASE full of cleaning products at every resort/hotel she stays at.
On our last stay at AKL, she just left a note on the bed everyday letting housekeeping know not to change her sheets.

I almost think it would be more trouble to stock pile dirty stuff and recycle it. It would smell like it came out of a pile of dirty laundry. ;) I have never stayed at a hotel where I couldn't seen the press lines from the folds in the sheets so I don't doubt for a minute that they are clean. It might be interesting to call housekeeping and ask if the comforters have been cleaned between guests. Maybe I will send an email to SoG just for fun.

Not sure what SOG's comforter policy is but Disney's is they are changed once a month, unless Housekeeping sees a need to do otherwise.

Lately I would hate to see one that Housekeeping felt needed changing. We had one that the entire underside was covered in mildew, you just have to wonder if the maid just totally ignored it. :confused3

I'd love to hear their response. Shoot, I'm tempted to email Billeting on base, just for the heck of it, to see what they say too :teeth: .

I am the biggest clean freak in the world and I have never had a problem with the linens at WDW. In fact, I would have to say that they are the cleanest, best maintained rooms I have ever stayed in. If you are unhappy with the room for some reason contact guest services and they will take care of it.
If your kids have a special blanket, by all means bring it but I wouldn't be worried about the cleanliness of the linens at WDW.

We are just not going to use the comforter....it will be June anyway!
Also, we will take our own pillows.....sheets at Disney, I'm sure, are okay.

The pillows freak me out more than the sheets. I bet that they do not wash the pillows.

As I have said on other threads I clean carpet and drapes and have done several hotels. They all have really big commercial washing machines that use plenty of hot water and bleach. I know because I've seen the machines in action and they put off a lot steam from all of the hot water used. Disney knows how to clean and I'm sure you will be fine. Good luck on your trip and ride Splash Mountain once for me! :cool1: :cheer2:
