So I am trying to keep this vacation stress -free (theoretically) and I have a day to spend in Paris. We are leaving DLP the 23 afternoon and then we are going to stay in Paris till the morning of the 25th. What can I do with DS (4 yrs) basically only on the 24th?
We are staying in the 7th district (we chose it because it was pretty close to most things we wanted to see).
DS really wants to see Eiffel Tower, so I was thinking that in the morning.
Thanks for all the advice:woohoo:
I can't wait to leave!!

How about a boat ride on the river - you can either get on one with a commentary or get a batobus which is a hop on hop off boat. You can get on either near the Eiffel Tower.

What about walking up to the top of Notre Dame? The views are fabulous and once you are up on the roof you can see the gargoyles up really close - they are fab too!

Boat ride is a good idea. We did this and it was nice and relaxing. We got it from Point Neuf and it wasn't too expensive I think 12 euro for about 1 hour 30min.

Have to agree on the boat trip, we've done both the commentary one (very good) and the batobus (excellent for just hopping on and off where you like). Enjoy, Paris is beautiful!

If you do head towards Notre-Dame Cathedrale, and you fancy a little treat - walk onto the little Ile Saint-Louis - it is a beautiful little island along the Seine... Explore for a bit and head to 31 Rue Saint-Louis en l'ile to Berthillon which is one of the most popular ice cream parlours around!

It is reputably the tastiest ice cream in the world as it is all made on site and is natural ingredients... On a warm day you won't regret it!!

Then obviously no trip to Paris is complete without visiting the Eiffel Tower, L'arc de triomphe, and the less popular known Statue of Liberty (which is along the Seine to the left of the Eiffel Tower if standing underneath it facing the river). Such a beautiful city and there's plenty to see and do!!

We regretted it! The shop was closed so we sat down in the attached cafe, had 3 ice creams (3 extremely small scoops) and two coffees and paid over €20 for the experience! Ouch! They also didn't have 2 of the flavours we asked for and our waitor was pretty obnoxious as well.

The ice cream was nice but I've tasted better in most places in Italy! For France, it was pretty good though.

La Defense is another area worth having a look at, a mini-Manhatten with loads of tower block offices and the Grand Arch de La Defense which it worth going up for the views.
