Hello,
My fiance and I are getting married in Disney next May 07. We still have not told some people we are getting married in Disney, and would like to send informal save the dates, to give people heads up so they can start planning on attending and saving money.
Has anyone ever sent out an informal save the date, and what have you said? Would greatly appreciate the help.
Thank you

Usually you just say:

Save the Date
DATE
John Brown and Susie White
are getting married
at Disney's Polynesian Resort
Invitation to Follow

You can call the invite company directly and maybe they have more suggestions.

I made magnets as well. I got tropical themed mini chalkboard magnets from Oriental. I then used a paint marker and wrote something like:

Don't forget
Joe & Melissa
12/6/05
And drew a mickey head on the bottom.

I included them with my first newsletter which had info on why disney, sunset pointe, the 2 hotels i suggested, prices, 800 number for disney, our contact info, the disboard site and deb's site, and the dates we would be traveling.

Hope this helps.

Melissa

Mine was very informal, no magnets, no nothing, but if you PM me your email address, i'll foward you exactly what we sent them via snail mail or email.
