Can anyone advise me as to things we might want to request prior to arrival at VWL?
My DH, DD (age 3), DS (age 2) and grandparents are arrving on Sunday for a week.
I requested a non-smoking room and crib.

Is there anything else that people might recommend requesting?
Would I make the request through mS or directly to VWL via fax?

Can I request a specific room?
Early check-in?

Thanks in advance!

VWL is beautiful. NS is a definte for us too.

The Villas only have one building so the only other thing you might consider is the floor and view.

In November we requested the top floor (they have elevators) with the best view of Bay Lake. This was very nice in the mornings to sit on the balcony and take the beginnings of the day.

Have a great stay.

ask for a villa with a view of the lake/pool if not available near the elevators - call ms and see if they can list it now.

then 3 to 4 days before you arrive fax the room controller at VWL 1-407-824-3232
with your name, arrival date, your reservation number, your villa size, a number that you can be reached, then list your request.

okay if you want early check in - and it is available - don't expect a great views - most of the great views are not going to available for early check in. what I mean by early check in is getting your room. If you mean just checking in and then going to parks and calling when your room is ready - all DVC resorts allow this you don't need to request it.

just make sure that the front desk clerk gives you the card (looks like a business card) with the phone number to call on it - some DVC members have say they did not receive it and had to go back to the front desk to get their room assignments.
