Hi :wave2:

every holiday i have ever been on i have always either packed too much which is a waste of space, or forgot something so obvious to bring!

As i have never been to the disney in florida i am uncertain what i will need :earsgirl: and my fiance will need ? :earsboy:

I dont want to pack too much as i plan to bring alot back with us!!!

We are going for 18 days (yippy! :cheer2: ) so if any of you can advise me on what i need to take and what simply is not needed i will be very thankful!

Oh one last question, i have got lots of skirts and vest tops for myself and shorts and cool t-shirts for my partner...though i am aware that it will prob rain :umbrella: do i need to pack any warmer clothing?

Cheers!!!

I would take 2 -3 outfits for dress eg nicer restaurants , bars depending on if you go to any of these.
You will be fine with vests and shorts/skirts. Get a rain poncho too just in case it rains. Take comfy shoes for the parks and more than 1 pair incase they get soaked. I usually take one pair of trainers and 3 pairs of flat sliders/mules. If you pack for for a week you can just use the laundry facilities at your hotel.

sounds like you'll be fine! you might want to pack some rain ponchos. :umbrella:
If you want to dine at V&A or Chef's de France, the dress is more upscale.
Will you have a washer & dryer available where you are staying?
I plan, down to the undies, what each of us will wear for each day, usually in 3 day cycles. Let me say upfront that I am no clotheshorse, so what I do may not suit your tastes at all. I pack mix & match seperates & do laundry once every 3-4 days.
I find 2 bathing suits work out well-one can be drying at all times.
You might want to bring a light jacket, it's unlikely, but could become milder at night.
I do pack 3 pr of shoes--I have a much easier time of it if I alternate shoes every other day. The 3rd pr are dressy sandals.
While at WDW earlier this yr, visitors from the UK told us shoes & clothing are less expensive in the States--so if you forget something, you'll have an excuse to shop! :sunny:
Have a super time!

The air conditioning in the restaurants can be a bit arctic, so if you plan to eat out at night you may need a cardy or something :)

Quick drying clothes - teeshirts and shorts are ideal. Especially if visiting parks that have water rides because you will get soaked. We did IoA in denim shorts/jeans in 2000, never again, took all day to dry out in February. This year had quick drying travel clothes from Rohan and they were the business.

Comfortable trainers are a must and a light fleece/sweatshirt for restaurants if you feel a bit chilled, just leave it in the car ready to grab out.

We didn't need any jackets or anything much too warm, shorts and teeshirts everyday.

If you keep your swim things in the car they are ready if you decide to jump out of one of the Disney parks and into one of their water parks for a cool down. Swim shoes are ideal too, protection for your feet from stones as well as the heat.

A peaked cap will also help to keep your face out of the sun and keep you cool.

I have just returned from our first visit in July (other visits have been in February) and we loved the heat but you did end up feeling like a snowman - you just melted all of the time, so take plenty of teeshirts because you will just glow all of the time (now doesn't that sound better than sweating like a pig :rotfl: ).

I just take t-shirts and shorts, with some smart t-shirts for the evening, I usually get some longer Ralph Lauren combat shorts to wear on a night when I'm over there. I take a light rain jacket for the afternoon shower burst and that usually does me. Most important thing I'd say would be some broken in trainers - don't make the mistake of buying some spanking nice white ones, new for the holiday - blister heaven!!!

Make sure it all tumble dries! The air is so humid that things don't dry too well outside -plus you can't guarantee it won't rain onto the balcony while you are out. And when I dry things inside they never really feel aired ( I am a fussy housewife!!)

And the cardi is essential - I swear that some of those restaurants have temperatures that are lower than it is in Northern Ireland!!!

We also travel in old trainers and then buy new ones and leave the old ones behind!
I also like to take a few t shirts as well as vest tops, just in case the shoulders get a little tender!
