What to pack?

I have read the info from people who already live in the USA about what to pack for a trip over Christmas. I wonder if anyone could put a British perspective on this for me please? Some people have said to pack hats, scalves, gloves and ear muffs! Is this really needed and will it be that cold?

My Boss went to Florida a cvouple of Cristmas's ago & had to buy a coat & gloves & a hat whist she was there. It was due to unseasonal weather but she did need them

she wasn't a happy bunny as she'd been before at Christmas & had great weather.

So IMHO go prepared & hope you will only need the shorts & t-shirts.

It could be hot, hot, hot the whole time, but I'd recommend packing for all eventualities.

We were there a couple of years ago for NYE and had frost in the mornings. The parks sold out of hats, gloves, scarves, fleeces, blankets......... ........ but it was unusually cold (but not unheard of).

As Disneyowl says - be prepared for the worst and anything else will be a pleasant surprise!

ignore the current country of residence - until 2 years ago I was british, and we've never packed more than the coat we needed to get on the plane and that's got us through about 6 Xmas trips. IF the worst comes to the worst and it's freezing - clothes are sooooooo cheap, you can buy a fleece at Walmart or a Gap outlet and leave it there. the only thing I'd recommend is one pair of covered shoes in case of cold feet! Mind you saying all this I'm panicking this year as we're going in January and it'll be about 90 here when we leave and can't decide if I'm going to freeze or not!!!
