What to pack?

Nine days and counting, now what to pack?? Weather report says mid 60's (unless you believe in accuweather which says 58 one day and the next day I check shows the same day at 73).

I am thinking jeans, capri's short sleeved shirts and maybe some longsleeved stuff for night...any suggestions?

(Of note: here in Oregon we have had 30 consecutive days of rain and even for us that is a lot.....)

I always think it feels cooler at DL then the weather report says. You can always get a locker in the morning for your jackets, that helps to avoid buying sweatshirts as the sun goes down!

I'm leaving next Wednesday. I'm bringing pants for every day. That way I know our legs won't be cold, and I know it's not going to be hot enough that we'd be uncomfortable. When we went last February we rotated between throwing sweatshirts on and taking them off several times a day, so lockers wouldn't work if it's like that again. I have a stroller so I plan on bringing us sweatshirts and wearing short sleeved or light long sleeved tees underneath.

Cooler in the mornings and then warmer in the afternoon and then back to cooler/cold in the evenings!

I had this dilemma in November, and got fed up, shorts, bathing suits, long pants, what to take? So I finally decided back the bare minimun for a family of 4, and buy the rest there! Sounds crazy but it was much easier. As well we left home and it was cold but didn't want to take our heavy jackets on the plane, so we left them in the vehicle at the airport. Shoot no jackets in California for those sometimes cool nights, guess we have to go shopping!!!!! Ran out of clean shirts, oops better go shopping! It was budgeted for in our spending money and by packing the bare minimum I was able to pack a couple of empty duffle bags to bring everything home in. A funny addition to this story is my husband was so impressed how I packed for one week (for a family of 4) with only two suitcases(one fairly small), well we came home with 3 suitcases and two carry on bags! He figures it out when we hit the airport to come home.

I'm with Dopey and Scratch--better long than short. Even at 73, you won't be uncomfortable in long pants and a long-sleeved t-shirt. Our trip in mid-Dec I wore my new Lands' End Marinac jacket (shameless plug--I LOVE that jacket!) all day, every day.

Flannel is too much, but ordinary jeans and long-sleeved t's should do the trick. If you want some Disney fleece, that's a good excuse to buy some! I saw several 50th sweatshirts I'd have gladly used any excuse to buy. That was the only down side to the new Marinacs. . .(another shameless plug!).

The other thing that came in really useful was fleece earbands for early mornings and late nights. Those Santa Ana winds were fierce once the sun went down! Earbands didn't take up much room, but kept our ears nice and toasty. Check out your local Mart for <$5 earbands if you don't already have some.

I am from ORegon too! and the rain.. the pain! AH!! lol. Well I would just say to pack what you wear here when it is that cool. I guess. It tends to be cooler in DL like someone said up above. There is a lot of shade I noticed and it is weird. Also I suggest maybe calling the hotel your staying at and asking them I dunno lol

We have been to Disneyland in the months of November, December, January and February and each of those visits pretty much wore pants. The brief time of day it would be warm enough for shorts didn't warrant our actually wearing them! I did wear a lot of capri's which seemed like a good compromise. We also took sweatshirts and jackets and tied those around our waists. It would often get warm and then a breeze would kick up or we'd go into an airconditioned ride and need our jackets again. We still swam at the Disneyland Hotel's pool however, they kept it warm. Our late January/early February visit two years ago was one of the nicest visits we had. No crowds and nice, sunny weather. I was there last week when it was in the 60s. I wore pants, flip flops, a long sleeve shirt and a light jacket (windbreaker) or a zipped sweatshirt. Normally during the day I took off the jacket and tied it around my waist and I was comfortable. My boyfriend however wore shorts and a t shirt and his flip flops. I guess it just depends on how cold you think it is.

We were there Monday through Thursday with the highs in the 60s and lows in the 40s. I was comfortable in long-sleeves/fleece tops all day (I do tend to be the coldest one in our group). I dressed my kids in long-sleeves and pants and they were comfortable as well. At night we threw on another layer (even DH who would wear shorts and t-shirts year-round put on a fleece) and gloves (if our hands were warm we felt better). We saw everything from flip flops to big coats. It depends on how cold natured you are! If the sun is out the 60's were just right but on the sun-less day it was downright CHILLY! AND Disney doesn't seem to turn off the AC in the rides....some were colder than outside!!

Even though it's not really hot out..pack bottles of water with you. Believe it or not..when you buy water at the parks...it turns out to be a lot of money!
