what to pack for weather in december

Will we need shorts/t-shirts or is it pretty cool at night? Will we be able to swim comfortably in Nassau (Blue Lagoon) and CC? We're going the week before Christmas.

Just to let you know about our experience 12/23/04 - 1/1/05....
We are from CT so we are use to cold weather, but I knew to take some long pants and sweatshirts....we were so often C O L D !!! I believe it was Christmas Day...it was cold and drizzly, we went to AK and really were so cold that we couldn't enjoy things to their fullest. So, this year when we go again...winter coats, hats, gloves...just in case!
