What to order??

In my 32 years, I have found that how well you like a joint depends heavily upon what you order. I have made ADR's at the following locations and would like to know what their "specialty" items are so I can be sure and get the best they have to offer.

50's Prime Time
Concourse Steakhouse
Mitsukashi Teppanyaki
Le Chefs de France
Mama Melrose
Coral Reef
CRT Breakfast
Rainforest Cafe
Big ugly dude in a fur coat

What are "the" things to get (appetizer, main course, & dessert)?

Have you looked at the menus on allearsnet? That may help. I've read that Concourse has good steaks and burgers, 50's has good meatloaf and fried chicken, Rainforest has a good cobb salad. Can't help you with the others only to say that CRT is pre plated so I don't think you'll have a choice there.

Everyone will have their own favorites. I could tell you to order the meatloaf at 50s Prime Time Cafe, but the next person would prefer the fried chicken.

At Teppanyaki, I believe I order Tonosama....which is the chicken and sirloin. My husband always does Fujiyama.....shrimp and chicken... we love it there although they do not accept the Disney Dining Experience card.

At 50's i enjoy the fried chicken, and appetizer the fried cheese. At rainforest I don't remember being overly thrilled with my meal(i think i got some kind of wrap) but get the volcano for the dessert. I also think crt is pre-plated. oh yeah, we enjoy the rainforest much more for breakfast.
Haven't eaten at mama melrose in years so I can't really comment on that.

At The Rainforest Cafe, they have an appetizer that has a sample of some of the other appetizers. I think it's called The Awesome Appetizer, or something like that. We like to get that, or the coconut chicken. Very yummy!

I'm a "salad person" and I usually order one of the big salads at Rainforest Cafe. The Buffalo Chicken one is my current favorite. The salads are HUGE. You could easily split one with someone. I also like the Rumble in the Jungle wrap. Dh had some pasta dishes he liked.

The Volcano is their speciality dessert. It's a brownie with ice cream and toppings.

BTW, I'm not sure if RFC is covered under the dining plan. It is not owned by Disney.

One thing I like to do when I haven't dined at a restaurant before is ask the waiter what's the most popular or their signature dish. Sometimes I'll end up ordering something that I normally wouldn't and I'm pleasantly surprised!

Mama Melrose. I enjoyed the following
Oven Baked Caprino Cheese in a tomato basil sauce and rosemary garlic crostini $6.19
Veal Osso Buco slow roasted and served with Risotto Milanese $22.49
Warm Chocolate Truffle Cake filled with chocolate ganache over raspberry sauce, and a pistachio florentine $5.69

I enjoyed the meal it was great! Dh had Mozzarella and Tomatoes - with marinated sweet onions, balsamic drizzle, extra virgin olive oil and fresh basil $6.29 (Good I snuck a bite) Oak Grilled Salmon basted with sun-dried tomato pesto over roasted vegetables $18.49 (was OK, I am against restaurant fish in general)

At 50's PTC we always get the pot roast. It is so good!!!

I have only eaten at concourse and I had the tomato mozza salad the filet and the creme brulee. all were fabulous the tomato mozza salad was great with a balsamic dressing. the filet was melt in your mouth and cooke to perfection and the creme brulee was awsome, alittle too sweet but i am not a big sweet eater I still fininshed it becase it was soo good.
I too ask the server what they recommend they usually know what is good or not also you can look at the menus on this forum and decide what looks good to you before you go.
