I know I want to send disposable spoons and bowls for breakfast, cereal, fruit snacks and granola bars, what else should I send?? We will be staying a week and we have a 13 yo and a 11yo. Any suggestions??:yay:

Why would you mail that stuff down? You can get plastic cutlery at the food court. Granola bars etc are easily packed.

I don't understand the DIS obsession with mailing stuff ahead of time. If you can't pack it then you don't need it.

I sent stuff down & back last time we went --first let me say DON"T send it UPS---unless you want to pay an arm & leg, second -We ended up having to rent a car & went to the store anyway. I agree that I really could have packed the stuff (that I used!) and would have been fine

I always take a hotpot so I can make coffee in the morning. I drink alot of coffee before others are usually up, so it saves going back and forth to the food court.

So, I'd send: coffee, filters, sugar/splenda, powdered creamer if you use.

I also take juice boxes (double zip lock in case of leakage).

Crystal light type packets to add to bottles of water

Instant oatmeal if you go the hotpot route.

I used to take alot of daytime snacks but found they really didn't get used up enough. It is hard (although necessary sometimes I understand) to say here, have some cheeze-its! as you're kid is drooling at the yummy popcorn cart ;)

ETA: if you will be mailing anything back home in the same box...pack your tape and labels, etc.

Due to the crazy baggage fees lately, we too ship down a box to our hotel with heavier essentials.

I typically ship most all of our liquid items (the ones you pray don't explode in your luggage) like shampoo, pepto, liquid medicines for DD5, etc.

We fill up a pre-paid flat rate Priority Mail box with all of the heaviest items, and this saves us on overweight baggage which is much more expensive than shipping a box down.

We are staying at FW cabins (full kitchen). So, I was thinking of shipping a bunch of stuff: snacks, breakfast items, coffee, etc.

Also diapers for my DD2 (gosh! I wish she'd get on the potty-training wagon - but that's a whole different thread!!!)

Or should we skip the whole shipping thing and order groceries to be delivered on the day we arrive?

Here is what I shipped...

Throw away sippy cups, swim diapers, baby wipes, sunscreen, ziploc bags, moleskin, bandaids, kids tylenol, small container of laundry soap, rain ponchos, small packages of kleenex, glow sticks, drink mixes, granola bars, crackers, fruit snacks, small cereal boxes, paper plates, bowls, utensils, bottle opener, disposable camera for kids and other misc. toiletries.

I decided to ship because we are not renting a car. We are staying for almost 2 weeks. I already have 5 suitcases packed for us. I am hoping not to do any laundry. We will see?

Have a great vacation!

I am shipping a box down but mostly because I'm stuffing my new Owner's Locker!! :cool1: :cool1:

I pretty much have it all but the kitchen sink!

french press coffee maker, coffee, coffee measuring spoon, filter, sugar (can you tell we like coffee???.....), ziploc bags, full sized shampoos, conditioners, dish soap, sponges.... All kinds of fun stuff!
