Is always a problem in our house. I like one thing, my DH likes another and forget about the kids. They would be happy eating pasta and hot dogs everynight.

I think we should have a dinner idea swap.

I am running out of ideas for dinner.

Help would be great!!!:teeth:

I've already got mine going in the crockpot; gravy (or sauce), and hot italian sausage & meatballs (homemade--not those pre-made frozen meatballs) will simmer all day long, filling the house with the most wonderful aroma!

The main course will be Eggplant Parmagiana with a side of spagetti. I peel the eggplant first, then slice it up, dip it in egg, bread it, dip it back in egg again then cover in breadcrumbs again. Then fry those babies up, place on a cookie sheet and add a healthing covering of mozzerella cheese. Bake just long enough to melt the cheese then it's time to eat!

I don't know what I'm having but I think I want to go to Blondies!

I do like having chicken and Angel hair pasta with a wine/butter sauce

I think we will have roast beef, with mashed potatoes and gravy and carrots cooked in with the roast, and baked beans and maybe that frozen bread that you get from the grocery store and just bake.

This won't help you, TinkHappy, but we're having Chicken Divan. Yum! Fortunately, DD loves broccoli! :D

How about Build Your Own Taco night? That's always been a hit here with DD's picky friends.

we are having eggplant & zucchini casserole with ricotta & mozzarella cheese
I'm making that and we eat at in laws and MIL will make spaghetti & sauce too

How about meatloaf - everybody like that in our house
making stuffed peppers for dinner tomorrow

That sounds like a great idea to swap favorite recipe's. I like to try something new once a week.
Otherwise shopping and cooking can get very boring.
I'm making a tarragon chicken recipe that DH loves, DS tolerates it, but he would rather eat take-out everynight:rolleyes:
If anyone wants the recipe it takes about an hour to make, but it's very good.

I am not sure what I am making in the crock pot but it smells good! I cut up onions and put them in the bottom, put a slice of onion and piece of garlic under the skin on the chicken thighs and layered them in the pot. Sprinkled a little extra garlic powder, basil and some parsley on top of the chicken skin then poured chicken broth around the chicken. It's been on low for about 3.5 hours now maybe four. I think I'll make some mashed potatoes to go with it since the flavor of the chicken is a little stronger... maybe carrots or broccoli! :)

I get bored too....

I never knew what to have for dinner each night, until I found www.recipezaar.com I now have a cookbook there with over 400 recipes on that we try a new recipe every weekend except when we want to have the same recipe over again. Today I have a roast and potatoes in the crockpot that we have had many times and all of us love. It is called To Die For Roast on zaar in case anyone wants to try it. The only thing that bugs me about using the crockpot is that I can't use it during the week cause we are away from home for 12 hours and can't find too many recipes that are good for that long of a cook time. But, it definately makes so much easier on the weekend.

We're having Jambalaya tonight. I too try to make at least one new thing a week but I decided this coming week to make something new every night. It should be an interesting week. :) I second the build your own tacos - that's always popular with the little ones!

I made homemade pizza!

I have been cooking all day. Homemade waffles, hard-boiled eggs (dd colored Easter eggs as a reward)
melted a whole bag of chocolate chips and ate a ton of fresh strawberries and chocolate (ooh, was THAT good!).

I did try and make Turkey-Bacon for breakfast as a lowfat substitute and YUCK! Anyone have a brand of "bacon" that is good?

i am making a casserole with egg noodles, cheese and ham.

I haven't made it in a while.

We're having baked potatoes with toppings

chili meat
bacon
broccoli
green onions
butter
sunflower seeds
black olives
tomatoes, chopped
grated cheese

no sour cream because no lone likes it

I'm having a huge bowl of fresh fruit :Pineapple, strawberries,
grapes,and melons.

I made the kids pancakes for dinner tonight. Soooo easy!

I made Spaghetti and Meatballs for the family! Garlic bread and tossed salad on the side!
I also made a pot of homemade Broccoli Cheese Soup and man is it cheesey!! LOL

...finally I made some M&M cookies for Andrew's class tomorrow, but made an extra batch for the family..none for me though! ;)

A simple recipe that usually pleases everyone, I take some grilled chicken breast strips, shred them, and mix them with Enchilada sauce, a teenie bit of chilli sauce, and 2-3 Habenero peppers (DO NOT get them on your face or near your eyes). Then just throw em on some buttered tortillas with lots of cheese, and it's all good! Simple enough.

I had pork lion in a bag. Canned collard greens.

I would love to try some those receipes that post. Some them is hard to make.

I need very simple(idiot's proof )receipes with step by step instructions. Or will turn into a mess.

I ended up having, grilled Salmon with sweet potato and spring mix salad with fetta cheese and light Newman Rasberry Salad Dressing. Yummy:p

Tonight...Spaghetti and meatballs with roasted garlic bread and a salad
