GF and I are heading back to Orlando again this year, this will be her 3rd trip and my 10th trip to Orlando so we have visited all the parks and done most things there are to do.

We have booked to go end of April start of May for one week, just trying to decide what we really want to fit into our week.

Staying off site at Westgate Lakes, and have hired a Mustang so getting about isnt a problem.

Parks we are thinking about are...

Animal Kingdom
Universal
Islands of Adventure
Epcot
Sea World or Hollywood Studios (MGM)

Also fancy taking a trip out to either Coco / Daytona beach for a day so thats 6 days filled if we do 5 parks.

Where do you guys buy your park tickets, I'm struggling to find single park tickets this year, especially for Disney parks.

Is it worth just buying the Disney ones on the day?

Any suggestions welcome, Dan

That's going to cost you a LOT of money and you're going to be run off your feet!

We now only do Universal/IOA for our trips (between 9 days and 12 days) and find this, plus the usual Orlando stuff (shopping, a round of mini golf etc.) keep us more than entertained. We focus on doing what we want to do without ramming as much in as possible otherwise you get back needing another holiday!

You won't find single-day Disney tickets any cheaper than one the gates; I seem to recall it was about $75 for one-day/one-park Disney tickets last time I looked :scared1: (This is why we don't do Disney!).

EDIT: I was way off. A one-day/one-park Disney ticket with tax is just over $90 per adult. Two days is $179. A one-day park hopper is $128 with tax. A two-day park hopper is $237.

I'm thinking its a lot to cram into a week but GF wants to visit as many parks as possible.

I'd be quite happy with

Universal
Islands of Adventure
1 of Animal Kingdom / Epcot / MGM

Then usual shopping, lazy days, crazy golf, Old Town cruise (car nut)

Not done Lego Land but from reviews I've read its very child orientated, is that right?

WOW. So near enough £60 per Disney park that may swing things in favour of the other parks.

Where did you find the one and two day tickets, I'm struggling to find anything less that the 3day tickets for disney.

Found a decent deal for 2 day Universal & Islands of Adventure £41 per park so might snap those up prior to going.

You can't buy those tickets in the UK IIRC, you can only buy them once you arrive. Disney is WAY overpriced unless you plan to spend over a week there.

So if you wanted to do (as per your original plan)

2 days at 2 different Disney parks (no hopping) = £120
2 days at Universal/IOA (no hopping) = £83 (may as well buy a 2 week pass which gives you hopping also for £96)
1 day at Sea World (but you get a second day free) = £52

Total for 5 days = £255 or £50/day EACH.

Personally I would sack off Disney and either just hit Universal/IOA for £96 each or (if you do 5 days) less than £20/day (saving you a total of £318) OR if you really want to do lots of parks, grab a 5-park Orlando combi ticket for £174 - 2 weeks access to Sea World, Universal, Islands, Aquatica and Busch Gardens (saving you a total of £162).

I wouldn't do WDW as well as Universal/Sea World it's an either/or for me.

The Magic Your Way Disney tickets can save you money and if you get the non-expiry kind they can last more than one holiday.
You can get them slightly cheaper at the likes of here:

For Universal/Sea World their websites sometimes have offers on so shop around and consider buying from the US, not necessarily cheaper getting
them in the UK.

Just a personal opinion and having visited most beaches in Florida the one's on the west coast are in a different league to Daytona & Cocoa.
