We took DD1 this past Oct and she was great! She doesn't walk yet, doesn't complain, or ask for anything (expect food). Now we will probably be taking her next Sept, when she will be just shy of 24 months. Will her attitude towards the characters or rides change (she loved them all)? What differences should I expect if we go (please send pixie dust to ensure we go!!!!).

We took our dd at 22 months. Our expectations were low, we just hoped she wouldn't be terrified of the characters. Well, she took a bite out of WDW! She loved the characters and was able to stay awake every night for fireworks/parades/whatever. We were good about taking her back to the resort every day for a nap but it was worth it for her to stay up and enjoy the nights!

Have fun!

There was no difference. He loved everything --it took him some time to get used to the characters but he warmed up quickly and loved all the rides. We leave on Monday for another trip (DS now 27mnths) so I am hoping he will react the same.

He is still ride junkie--loves amusement parks, so I am not really worried. He also absolutely loved Santa at the mall. I think that is a good tester of how they will react with the characters. My BF is Jewish and is going next month, she had her kids with Santa every other week to "test" them.

The only difference is that she may not sleep as well in the room. First trip DS slept second he wouldn't take his naps in the room; only the stroller. Just take it easy and go at her pace.

Have fun.

I agree with the other posters - took our DD at 23 months, and she did great. She wasn't afraid of anything. At about 30 months, she discovered fear - she couldn't even watch the video of the Pooh ride. I think she would not have done as well then. By about 38 months, she lost most of her fear, and now she can't wait to get back this May. All she can talk about is Splash Mountain!

We took DS at 12 months and he loved the characters. By 2 he was afraid of everything - he just wanted to watch them from a distance. Now that he is almost 3 he is excited about seeing them again. He also did great with Santa this year - was just in awe of the fact that Santa talked to him. I cant wait to see his face when Buzz Lightyear talks to him!

I think you just need to watch how you DD reacts and plan accordingly. Just follow her ques and you will have a good time.
