We'll be at WDW April 18-23 and wondering what to expect in terms of crowd size. It is crazy right now but most schools should be back in session. I know schools in New England are off that week but I can't imagine the crowds will be anything like this week or next. What would you anticipate lines for attractions to be? Like to hear your thoughts (well...actually read your thoughts).

Im going to be there that week to, im also curious as I never been to disney world at all before, this is my first time.

I'd sure love to know what that week may be like in terms of crowds too.

We will be there from 9th April - 23rd.

Richard.

We're on break April 18-24 and we'll be there too. In 2002 our break was mid-April and easter week was two weeks earlier. The weather was wonderful and the crowds were quite manageable. I don't really recall large crowds.

Well, there will be 4 of us there. We don't take up too much space. We hope the crowds will be managable, especially since the parks have fairly limited hours. I think that it will not be too bad, as long as you don't get tired of many Boston accents:D
We are transplants, so we speak normally, sort of.:bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc Made it to those single digits

My little sister will be marching in the Main Street parade at the MK this week in her band. Be sure to look for her. She's one of two French horn players and she's the blonde, very petite one. They are from Canada. Keep your eyes peeled.

We are another family on spring break that week and will be there the 17th - 25th. Looks like a lot of NorthEasterners....we'll all be pahking the cahs in the pahking lots.. :)

We'll be there too on our honeymoon 17th - 23rd. I too cannot see it being THAT bad...except for the accents (just kidding). I left New England 2 years ago. See y'all there!

Congrats to the UCONN Huskies!

I'll just have to translate for my DDs when they hear the New England accents! Of course, y'all will have to do the same when you hear us talk. Looking forward to a great time.

We'll be in Ft Wilderness from the 18th to the 23rd. Our first night is over at Gaylord Palms to recoup from driving from CT. DS15 is bring a friend--that will keep me and DH from perhaps offering him to any family that needs a teenager LOL!

I hope we don't have Bostonian accents, but I do know we will be still singing UConn Huskies praises! (DH and I are both alums)

We will be there too. 4/20 to 4/27. there are 6 of us so adding that to the other posts , i figure they should be about 30 people at WDW during those days... that's a manageable crowd... Any Mass folks staying at OKW? By the way I am a transplant from Montreal so some French mixed with Boston accent... Enjoy your vacation.

Okay...I'm warning you...beware of a large group of "chowda" heads from Cape Cod!!! We will be down there with our son and his high school drama club.
We can't wait to warm up in that Florida sun!!!!
:sunny: :earsboy: :earsgirl: :earsboy:

We'll be there that week ,too. No Boston accent though, we're from the Western part of the state:D

kteacher - we'll be at the CR, too! At least the first 4 nights..then moving to the BWI. We'll be on the 14th floor...maybe we'll see you there! :)

Anything will beat the COLD and windy weather we've been having here.

And I think it will be BUSY!! Many classmates of my daughters will be there too with their families. They are already making plans to meet at Beaches and Cream to share a Kitchen Sink. I just noticed that the park hours at the MK have been increased Apr18-Apr21! Now MK will be open till 9:30 each night with Spectro shown every night! Thank goodness, I was really fearing a mob if it remained only two nights as scheduled. Here is hoping for longer hours at MGM and a second Fantasmic! See you all there! Don't forget your lime green ribbons...and say HI! if you see mine.

Last one out of Logan turn off the lights!
I'll be at POR from 4/21 to 4/25 with two teenage boys (14 & 15). They are my neighbors and yes, I am a slightly crazy woman! (and yes, we all have Bawstun accents!)
If they are extending hours that week, does that mean crowds will be bigger than they expected? I know that my Sunday night return flight on Song has been sold out for over a month. Better get back to MCO early.

I think they increased the hours because of grad nights that weekend...MK closes at like 6pm on those nights.....

As for crowds---nope...The season changes on the 18th for rates, theres no way if it was going to be as crowded as this week or next they'd have changed the rates....theres a reason...

Add 4 VermontAH's 18th thru 24th...in DD's school- only 1 other family going...one of DD6's classmates. so really add. 8 VermontAH's

(we dont have accents...we change er's to ah's...hence the VermontAH)

See ya all there!!

Brandy

i am arriving on the 18th as well:D last year i also arrived 1 week after easter, and although the grad weekends were on then too, there were only 2 spectro parades this week, which is what was listed until a few days ago. i think that the fact they've added a few more means they are expecting more people. that's okay though, gives me more chances to see spectro and wishes:D and will help even out the crowds, and it still won't be busy like easter.
Hippychickali, i will watch for your sister :sunny: my daughter used to play french horn in high school . i can hardly wait for the change in weather, it has snowed here a couple of times this week:crazy:

JESW- I can't wait-I booked this trip way back in July (and have kept it a secret from my daughter), so it seems like it's taken for ever for this trip to come:Pinkbounc We're staying in the CR from the 19th-23rd. We'll be in the tower, but not on the 14th (lucky you!) maybe our paths will cross ( 2 brunette women and one preteen girl:wave: )
