What to expect in early February 2015?

We are considering a trip from Wednesday February 4 - Sunday February 8, 2015. We have never been that time of year. We love low crowds. Don't care too much about shorter park hours. Is that a good time to go? Is anything happening during those dates?

Our daughter doesn't have school on Friday 2/6. Does anyone else have kids out of school that day?

Thanks!

We will be there those dates. I don't think anything is going on. There may be a fair amount of refurbishments happening. That and shorter hours are the two negatives with that time of year. And possibly cooler temps and rain (though this isn't really much of a negative for my family.)

Thank you! That's what I thought.

Does Disney usually have discounted hotel rooms or promotions during that time since it is a slower time of year? Just wondering if I should wait to book a room if they will be announcing specials.

My TA is waiting for a discount for feb reservation as past years usually comes out for the slower months, usually October it's released. We're going feb 25

We are going February 4-10 (then Hollywood 11-14...then home :( ) and we are waiting for deals that we see every other year. I'm a big planner though so it kills me to wait. Hoping some sort of special comes out sooner, rather than later so I can book something.

Does anyone recall what the deals have been in February in past years? We went February quite a few years ago but it ended up being Presidents Week and WOW, it was crazy busy! We were able to get park passes 5 days for the price of 3 but that was quite a few years ago so I'm not sure if that's even offered anymore. Anyone recall what has been done more recently?

We are going Feb 8 - 13. I wanted to buy park tickets but it looks like you can't yet? Anyone know when they usually release next year's tickets?

We are at the DI&S and the price has already gone up about $200 from when I booked a couple weeks ago AND our airfare jumped $300 right after I booked!

We are staying at the Desert Inn around those dates as well. :) We got the rate of $94 a night for a parlor suite.

Wave at us, we are staying at the same hotel for the same days!

I have to admit, I booked the room at the end of August less than 2 weeks after we got home from our last DL trip! I wasn't sure if we were going to go in February but I saw the $79/night rate and u just could not pass it up.

I just booked our flights this morning, I found a good price for a Victoria departure and since it means not having to get a ferry to Seattle, I jumped on the good rate. Now the hard part is not checking flights just in case the price goes down.

I made that mistake today. If I'd waited, I could have saved $150. Boo. :(

Yuck!

I am okay with jumping at the flights that I found, usually yyj to SNA is over $500/pp and I got ours for $428/pp.

Of course, if I find that they do go down I will be pretty annoyed!

I don't know of anything happening that would increase the crowds.

I think your dates are PERFECT! You are missing the major holiday crowd attractors in Jan and Feb.

I used United miles to fly OMA to SNA. And then we picked Southwest for our flight home (first time trying Southwest.) It was $170 when I booked (3 tickets) and now it's $123.

I am going to 'change' the flight and get the $150 credit onto our Southwest account. We most likely won't use it since we have no other trips planned. But if something comes up and we need to use our backup dates in April, we should be able to use that credit if the prices are higher. So at least that's something.
