What to expect from the Wilderness Lodge??

Good Day!

I have booked my 1st stay at the Wilderness Lodge!
We are so excited!

How long is the bus ride from WL to MK, WL to AK, and Epcot?
Does the boat from MK to WL run late at night?

What's good for breakfast at Whispering Canyon Cafe?

Any tips for WL newby?

We are generally not bus people as we always rent or have a car but I must say the bus service on our visits to WL has been very good. We found the bus to MK to always be faster than boat, no other stops direct to MK about 5 minutes. Otherwise we have only used the bus for AK: stopped at GF and then to AK maybe 25-30 min ?

I believe the boats run 1hr before and 1hr after park opening.

Have not eaten breakfast at Whispering Canyon as we usually stay CL and eat in the lounge. For room requests, personally we just request closer to elevators. Depending on the category you booked you may have other requests.

Congrats on your first stay at WL. We take the boat to MK, not the bus. Much more fun!
Bus to AK is prob similar time as from Poly.
Not sure what view you've booked,but we prefer the north wing. It's on same side as Roaring Forks, Whispering Canyon, & boat dock.

We stayed at the WL for the first time in February and loved it.

The bus ride to MK is five minutes. But the boat is the best way to go. There is also a boat that goes to the CR and FW. We would go to the CR to get the monorail for our dinners at the Poly and GF.

The bus rides to the other parks were about 20 minutes. They stopped at either GF or FW first before going to the parks, but the WL was the first stop on the way back from the parks.

We ate breakfast at Whispering Canyon and it was very good.

The beach faces away from the Magic Kingdom so I don't think you can see the fireworks. We were in the honeymoon suite a few years ago and could see them from there.

You can see the Electric Light Parade from the beach.

When we eat at Whispering Canyons I like to get the skillet breakfast.

Not all rooms overlook the lobby. Some are a courtyard view and others a worded view.
