Hello all,

My fam and I are going to BWV for Halloween. We have the tickets for "Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Parade." Is there any tips someone would have for us to see or participate in? I have a daughter 6yo and a son 14 yo.

I do realize the Food and Wine festival is there as well. Worried that the kids would not enjoy this as much. Open to all thoughts.

Thanks

Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party is a nicely themed event that everyone should attend at least once. Just go with the flow and have a wonderful time. :thumbsup2

Our DD9 is a little of an adventurous eater and really enjoyed the F&W festival. I was also amazed at how into the KimPossible clue-thing she was into one night at Epcot - she's never watched KimPossible but really liked playing detective with the clues and running around the different countries in WS.

I really like the parade during the party - the headless horseman & the gravediggers are my fav! Don't forget your candy bag!
And just have fun!

In the past, there has been Trick or Treating at DTD both on Halloween's eve and Halloween. If your kids are into that sort of thing, check it out and go the night before. It's fun and definitely less crowded that night than on Halloween itself.

I enjoy MNSSHP more than the Christmas one.

:) We went on both 10/29 and 10/31 last year. We enjoyed 10/31 much better. It was not as hot and not as crowded, believe it or not. It was a great experience on Halloween Night.

ToddyLu's tip: The best place to see this parade IMO is outside of the Christmas Shop in Liberty Square. The Headless Horseman will make a brief stop on the wooden bridge there, rear the horse on his hind legs and then gallop on around in front of LTT. He is completely awesome and worth the ticket price in my opinion. I have also heard that if you are at Fort Wilderness, Headless leaves there before the party at full gallop and the kids can line along the road and see him leave the stable area. Now that I think about it that might be too creepy for children. Have a terrific time. My DH is a precious chunky completely baldheaded man....he isn't into dressing up...but he did wear his Charlie Brown zig zag shirt, brown shorts, white ankle socks and brown shoes.

Hakuna Matreata!!

MNSSHP is fun. Don't count out Epcot though. My kids love Epcot! There are plenty of things for kids to enjoy.

Thanks so much for the tips guys. I will definately put these to use.;)

Here's some information on the DIS re MNSSHP: http://www.wdwinfo.com/holidays/halloween.htm

It looks like they will give you trick or treat bags so it's not necessary to bring your own, unless they match your costume! ;)

I have a question, can you buy a not so scary Halloween T-shirt at MK before the party? We're not not much into costumes, but wouldn't mind wearing appropriate tees.

The tshirts are available only during the party so you won't be able to buy one in advance.

The BWV/BWI has a wonderful Halloween party on the Village Green on Halloween. There are characters, cookies to decorate, a DJ with dancing for the kids. Lots of people come to the party in costumes. The kids are so cute as the do the Hokey Pokey in their outfits.

You should be able to enter MK for the party at 4PM, with your party ticket. If you are already in the park, just go collect your bracelet. They hand them out to guests at a couple of different places. We got ours off the tomorrow land bridge. You will see the Cast Members there with the banner. Just show them your party tickets and they will give you your bracelets, maps, and goody bags.

Be sure to hit the candy stop that runs behind the River Boat dock area! Just look for the Goofy's Candy Co balloons signs for all the candy stops.

I agree that Liberty Square is a great parade spot. Enjoy the Gravediggers, my kids did!
