The title pretty much says it all. We are going to our planning session in 19 days and I am BEYOND excited. :cool1::banana::dance3:

What should I bring? What should I expect? Will we be going over the planning packet step by step?

Our tasting is scheduled after the PS but I don't know what we'll be tasting. Should my planner be sending me something to fill out?

TIA! :goodvibes

Yes, and you need to return it to them by 14 days before your PS. I'd check with your planner, otherwise you won't know what you're tasting.

I sent back the whole planning packet to her last week... Maybe she's out of the office or something.

We basically went through the whole day step by step, she wrote down my expectations on basically every detail (which ends up in the BEO). It was so great to get it all on paper! Amy asked me a ton of questions and really seemed to dig to find out everything I wanted to happen and when. She also made a lot of great recommendations on timing, etc...so that I didn't have to come up with it myself...I am a big believer that you need to "let the experts be the experts" - i really let her drive the conversation and felt like at the end of the day we had it all down pat.

After the initial part of the session she brought me the cakes to try, which was great!!

Once we got done with cake, Laura came to discuss floral, and it was very similar - she asked for my feedback, gave me lots of suggestions, etc. I know nothing about flowers except I like bright colors and daisies. She led the discussion and everything turned out sounding great!!

For the tasting, Amy sent me a form a couple of weeks ahead to put down things I wanted to taste at the tasting session.

I headed to Boardwalk right after the PS, it took about an hour or so to taste everything and discuss the menu with Amy and the chef. It was fantastic - they even customized a few of the items for me based on what I liked and didn't like.

Be prepared for a great time - I would not over prepare - you can be confident that they know what they're doing!

We had our planning session back in November since we were married in Feb. Marion sent us paperwork prior to meeting with her, which she asked to have faxed or scanned back to her ahead of time. I brought a copy with me anyway. We met with Marion for about an hour and a half before Laura came over to discuss Floral, Centerpieces, and table layouts. We loved Marion and Laura, we had a ball with them. After Laura left, we had cake tasting to determine what cake/filling flavors we wanted. DH had a blast playing with cake and fillings..he made up his own stuff to eat while we were talking. They really do a wonderful job of making your wedding day feel so special and so you don't have to worry about a thing.

Oh...your planner will ask if you have any requests in terms of a DJ and Photographer. We LOVED our DJ and Photographer!!! By the end of the night they were more like old friends

Are you use a Disney photographer?? If so, who are you going to use? We are in the debate stage as to whether or not we will use an outside vendor or Disney.

Yes we used Disney's Photographers. We were assigned Chris..he was AWESOME! He was so sweet, funny, warm etc. He was not intrusive at all, and he caught things in pictures that i didn't know he had. He made me feel like the most beautiful princess ever while taking pictures of me before the ceremony. We had a basically overcast evening for our wedding and he had this special feature on the Camera that made the sky look like it was actually a nice night. At the reception, he was never in the way. i had chosen a tie bouquet as my toss bouquet...Laura tied a bunch of roses together with ribbon and right before i was to toss it, I would undo the ties and that way a bunch of girls could have a flower each.. and when I went to untie it, I couldn't get the ribbons undone cause they were tied so tightly. Chris was the one who came to my rescue, sort of playing bridesmaid..he found a knife and some scissors and loosened the knots enough for me to undo the ribbons.

Our pictures came out AMAZING. And like our DJ, by the time Chris left, he was more like an old friend.

Thanks for all of the info ladies! I did get my floral planning sheet from Warren today and I got all excited... 16 days
