What to eat at POP?

Sort of redundant. . .but thumbs up on the chicken alfredo parm, also. My husband loved it and had it several times----often back from the parks at night and looking for a bite. . . The chicken breast is at least a six-oz. serving (could easily be shared for smaller appetites). One time I asked if I could have the marinara sauce vs. the alfredo----also a good choice!

The only other thing we tried was the pizza (large). Tough review. Coming from an area in upstate NY were locally owned pizzarias abound and outreign (IMHO)all 'chains'. . .I wasn't expecting greatness. It is quite doughy-----but, it was hot (and with a side of celery/carrots/ranch dip from the cooler section, it did get eaten! More like a cheesy bread sort of thing. Think the coolest part of the pizza experience was the slice-shaped pizza thingy that lit up and vibrated when your order was ready! It was hard to give back! :)

Wish we had a chance to try a few other things. . .I eyed the 'tv dinners' more than once----the green beans and mashed potatoes always looked yummy when someone had them. . . Maybe next year. . .

Someone try the Mediterranean flatbread for me, ok? ;)

Enjoy!:thumbsup2

From other threads, it seems the frozen drink machines had a lot of mechanical problems and are now gone.

Noooooooooooo! I hate the frozen Cokes are gone but I can see why. The machines weren't working half the time.

I'm sorry but the pictures I've seen of the tiedyed cheesecake look like someone drank too many sweet fruity cocktails with their cheesecake and it came back up all mixed together. :lmao:

Aren't there 2 choices of chicken there? I think 'parmesan crusted chicken' and 'chicken alfredo' are two different dishes. The PCC was a much bigger breast than the CA, but you got more pasta with CA.

I like their bacon double cheeseburgers too. It's a lot of food.

Well theres the Parmesan Crusted chicken which is a piece of Parmesan chicken with a green salad. Then there is the Chicken Penne Alfredo which is a piece of Parmesan Chicken with Penne Pasta and Alfredo sauce or something similar to alfredo sauce.

I've only seen the chicken alfredo with Penne pasta, I think. But wouldn't they basically be the same, just asking for marinara ove alfredo sauce?

Both sound REALLY good right now though! LOL!

I loved the tie dyed cheesecake - it was awesome.

I can tell you the one thing not to try- the flat breads- they are sub par and take forever to get.

The made to order omelets for breakfast are also good, parmesan crusted chicken is great and they have a great ice cream sundae are also...

Here are the pictures we took of the Chicken Penne Alfredo and the Parmesan Crusted Chicken.

You can also get a sundae as your dessert with your counter service. You can tell the cashier you would like a sundae for dessert and she will stamp the back of your receipt and you can get it later so it doesn't melt. You have a certain time frame to return for it...I can't rememebr if it is 1 or 2 hours. :goodvibes

OMG that pic of the Chicken Penne Alfredo reminds me of being at POP so much. Ahhhh!!! That was such a yummy dish! I didn't even make it out of the line to pay for the food before eating my breadstick. I was so hungry that night.

EXACTLY! :) I can't remember if I learned this from the Dis Boards for our POP stay last November or learned it while I was there! Either way, it's nice to do this so the sundae isn't sitting there melting as you're eating. Plus it helps the kiddos somewhat stay focused on eating dinner first, and not staring at the sundae melting! :rotfl2:

I also can't remember if it was 1 or 2 hours that you had to get it though...

Enjoy Pop! :)
