What to eat at POP?

I remember having some sort of chicken fettucini alfredo dish. It was very good.

We tried the Tye Dye Cheese Cake and it was just OK. I thought it had a funny aftertaste due to the food coloring.

ETA: my DH had the Twinkie Tiramisu and THAT was really good!!!

MMMMMM......twinkies and tiramisu.:teacher: Both winners.

But together??? Adding that to the must try list! :woohoo:
Thanks for the heads up!!

Looks like we are going to be eating a lot more meals at the resort than I thought. Thanks everyone!! :cool2:

Now back to my regularly scheduled programming. :laundy:

The Twinkie Tiramisu is gone. I was so looking forward to it our last trip but it's no longer on the menu.

We were there this past Janauary and had 2 meals there- I had 2 diffferent flatbreads- which are reaally pizzas for one IMO... I got the special flatbread of the day- very good. pleasantly surprised.
Ds had the chicken tenders, twice
Jill

Every night they have a blue plate special. DH loved the sliced steak with potato, veggie and a roll.....
Every morning DH ordered a egg, ham & cheese croissant sandwich and he got two juice bottles since he does not drink coffee. It was 1 CS credit.
I used a snack credit for a chocolate croissant.

The Chicken Ceaser Salad is good too. They give you plenty of dressing.:thumbsup2

:thumbsup2 Actually, too much dressing for our taste, we always tell them to go easy on it. The chicken dishes previously mentioned are good, and the pizza. And personally, I Love the tie-dye cheesecake with the red velvet layer.

We often drive over to POP from OKW for a good CS dinner, as we have our big meal at lunch, and OKWs CS isn't the best.

OP here...

Yum!! Sundaes with snack credits, why didn't I think of that!!??!!

I know one person mentioned the turkey dinner. Are any of the mom's night out meals good??

I read somewhere that they changed the snck credits back[/B to only small bags of chips, a piece of fruit, ice cream bar, or pop or water. I know we used to be able to get anything $4 or under (like the yummy beignets at POFQ!) anuone know?

also, OP I had the mom's night chicken, it was good.

We will be back at POP in August and all my 19 year old daughter has talked about is that she can't wait to get a piece of tye dye cheesecake. It is YUMMY (in our opinion). We love the TV dinners, especially the fried chicken, meatloaf and turkey. My kids love the pizza and the shrimp lo mein is some of the best that we have had anywhere.

Enjoy!

Thank you all so so much!!

It looks like you're telling me:

All the entrees are pretty good, especially the chicken pastas and shrimp lomein.
Tie dye cheesecake is 50/50 so I think we will give it a shot.
I'm glad we can get breakfst sandwiches DH loves those.
No frozen cokes. No twinkie tiramisu. :scared::guilty:

Any good snacks or desserts I'm overlooking?? What about in the Everything Pop shop. I'm assuming they have a cold case of drinks and I know you can get milk there.

I don't think there is a cooler in the store section. Bottled sodas and milk are located in the coolers in the food court area.

:scared::furious:

Someone tell me this is a joke!!!

The fried chicken tv dinner is good! So is the vegtable lo mein and the pasta dishes. My daughter liked the asian salad.

Love the chicken alfredo with penne pasta. It is yummy and a huge portion my dd and I always split it. Also the loaded nacho's are good. The kids enjoyed eating the cheesecake but I think it was just to see who ended up with the most interesting colored smile when finished:rotfl:. The sundae's are a very good use of a snack credit.

I really liked the Shrimp Lo Mein. It's been a couple years since we've been there, I can't remember anything else.

Do they still have the frozen drink machines?

From other threads, it seems the frozen drink machines had a lot of mechanical problems and are now gone.

Yes it is a CS including dessert and drink.

They are included on the dining plan, but not if you are paying out of pocket. then it's all seperate.

I have actually heard alot of bad reviews on the pizza. I've never had it there, so can't comment, but have heard other people saying it was like cardboard and just not tasty.
I love the tye dye chese cake, but hate the velvet cake crust, so I throw that part away.
We got the sundaes this year with snack credits and they were really good, but melted fast.
Last year I got the loaded nachoes and threw most of it away. It was the grossest thing ever. It was super soggy for one and had an odd taste. If I ever get them again I would get just cheese and none of the toppings. I think the meat is was made it so gross.
I have had the kids turkey sandwich and it was really good.
I love the Chicken Alfredo with pasta Penne and it is big. DD and I shared it.
We had a few breakfasts there. The waffle and pancakes are great and so it the sausage. The bacon isn't crisp enough for me, so I usually ask for sausage instead.

The breakfast potates are just OK. Nothing to wrote home about, but still decent. The eggs are just OK. The breakfast wrap is just OK too. I tried to do variety this year for breakfast, but I should've stuck with pancakes, because I love those. LOL!

Honestly it is kind of hard for us to do alot of meals there. We are in the parks all day, so we get most lunch or dinner CS there, and being on the regular dining plan we did alot of TS dinners.

I do think Pop has a very good selection though. My DH tried a few other things and seemed happy with them as well.

Well, I thought of another question for you all:

Can you get grab and go items anytime or only when the hot food is available?

I read a post recently that the poster wished the food court was open later after the parks closed. Would you be able to get a snack that late? If that's not available is there some place at the resort that is???

And thanks for the correction on the milk!

I think the food court is open 6-12, but early on and later in the evneings not all the hot food is open. But the grab and go is.
