What to do

We are currently reserved to use Magical Express for our trip in June. I'm going to need to activate my AP before we check in at the resort. Do we just get a taxi at the airport, have him take us to a park, my DH wait with him while I activate my pass and then head to the resort. Or use the magical express, get a taxi when we get to the resort to take us to a park and then check in. Surely others have had the same situation. What's the best way to handle it? We are staying at ASMu to start the trip, so we are not able to walk to a park from the resort. Please help! I'm having more trouble with this than deciding where to stay, well, maybe it's not that bad.

You don't need to activate your pass before you check in - I assume you have an AP rate and an AP voucher. If the CM asks to see your pass, just show the voucher (many times, he/she won't even ask). Worst thing that will happen is that you will have to come back later in your stay after you activate the pass and show the actual AP. If it were me, I wouldn't spend another second worrying about it. I've checked in with just the voucher (and wasn't even asked for it).

If for some reason, you want to exchange the voucher for a real pass before you check in, you can take a bus to DD from the ASMu resort and go to one of the two Guest Relations offices. There is one in the MarketPlace and one over on the West Side (near the bridge to PI). You can do the exchange/activation there and both locations are open late - until at least 11 pm. After you are done, you can take the bus back to the ASMu.

I know that people have been asked to come back and show thier activated AP so I think that is what they will ask you to do. Now lately they seem to mean it so be sure to go by and show it!
