We will be making our reservations for next yr in a couple of weeks. We were planning on spending 13 or 14 nights at OKW, when we thought of spending maybe 3 nights at VB (we have 50 points at this resort). My wife explained to me that the last time we did this (about 6-7 yrs. ago), we regretted "pulling up our stakes" at OKW and then making the drive to the coast. Has anyone else done this? Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Last year we had 2 combined WDW and then VB trips. Our trips were shorter than yours, but we really like combo trips. We're out of VB points, so this June we're going to a Marriott resort on the ocean after our 6 nights at WDW.

How about starting at VB and then moving to OKW? When we do combos, we start off that way. After about 3 nights at VB, I go stir crazy - I'm not much of a lay around the pool or beach type of a person, I guess.

Best wishes -

We've done the same, starting at Vero and then moving to a WDW resort. A few days at Vero is a nice rest and "decompress" from work. After that we are a little more revved up to take on the parks. The other advantage is that you are closer to the airport when it's time to head home.

I'd start at VB, too. But that's because I always hate to leave WDW until I absolutely have to. I'd rather start at VB and enjoy it knowing I have WDW coming up next.

I too would think starting at the resort with the shortest stay would be the best plan of action.

Haven't done it let, but I would go to Disney first then VB to relax.
