Hello! We have a trip booked for the end of February currently at the Wilderness Lodge. We stayed there for the first time this August and fell completely in love. From what I am reading the construction project is going to be all over. Is it worth staying there or hold off a few years until the project is over? I would like to stay at a MK resort in hopes of a 24 hour event at MK. If we are to switch to a different resort what would you recommend? We are in our 20s with no kids.

There is a WL Thread with a link to a thread specifically about the DVC Expansion. There are a lot of maps and drawings showing the proposed project. It is going to be lengthy much like the Poly expansion. The key is what will the affects areas be per your travel dates. It appears the South Wing is currently a noise zone, with demo of the Villas pool, Hidden Springs starting in October. By February, the impact on the lodge might be more if the restaurant and cabin work starts or if tree removal is in full swing. Good Luck!
