we are headed to disney in a couple weeks and bringing the kids!! Super exciting!!! My almost 4.5 yr old will be able to do pretty much everything at every park with the exception of some of the rides. What can I do with my 2 year old at EPCOT while other DD is enjoying the rides and other attractions at EPCOT?

Depending how tall your 4 yr old is...your 2 year old will be able to do a LOT of the same things. 2 year old can ride Spaceship Earth, Living with the Land, Nemo, Figment, the boat ride in Mexico, and Maelstrom in Norway. 2 year old will not be able to ride Soarin, Mission Space, or Test Track most likely but your 4 year old may be able to. Those might be a good time for the little one to have a snack since they are are all at the front of the park. Once you get to World Showcase, there won't be anything that the 2 year old won't be able to do so you are good there :thumbsup2 Both will have fun coloring the Duffy Bears and exploring the countries. Have a great trip.

There is a small playground at the end of Misson Space. Lots of things of things to see at the end of Test Track. (Splash fountain in between the two).

My girls LOVED Nemo and the Seas. You can ride Living with the Land, meet characters in the World Showcase, check out Innoventions, go to the Epcot Character Spot, stop at the KidCot places and color, grab a snack, even park the stroller for a bit and let her walk at her own pace exploring. That was my younger DD's favorite thing to do while her sister was napping or while other adults were riding Test Track and Soarin'.

wow, thanks everyone!! I feel sooooo much better knowing Kate will have things to do in Epcot while big sis is thrill seeking with Daddy :)

I took my DD at age 2 in 2009. We loved Epcot!!!

She rode most things like Nemo in The Sea's (and Turtle talk with Crush is great too!!)
Spaceship Earth, The Figment ride....ETC, She was even able to ride the Maelstrom boat ride in Norway.

There are a lot of fun things for toddlers to do - plus mine just loved being able to run around and look at things!! Walking the world showcase (and looking around all the corners for characters) is so much fun!!!!

You will be surprised how much there is to do at Epcot, keep your eyes open!!

Epcot is fabulous! We've taken our DD when she was 17 months and 28 months and she loved it.

We love the amount of space there is for our DD to just wander and there is so much to see that she wouldn't see in her everyday adventures.

In addition to the toddler-friendly rides, one of our favorites was the boat ride across the water that takes you to different points in the World Showcase.

Have fun!

(X-POSTING: I posted this to another "Little Kid in Epcot" post recently).

My kids loved Epcot when they were that age.

The Figment ride (Journey into Imagination) and the Imagination Pavilion were their favorites. They loved the jumping water fountain outside that pavilion, too.

Soarin' is a great ride, but they really liked Living with the Land (the boat ride in the Soarin' pavilion). The part where the boat goes through two solid walls of fish tanks was a huge hit.

They loved the Seas with Nemo and Friends and Turtle Talk with Crush.

We had a really great time trying different sodas at Ice Station Cool.

They were cool with Spaceship Earth.

The boat rides in Mexico and Norway are also great for kids.

My kids love the train display between Italy and Germany.

Besides the rides, I highly recommend taking little kids to the street entertainment in Epcot. You can pretty much go from show to show all day and have a great time watching the Voice of Liberty and the taiko drummers and the Japanese story teller and the acrobats.

If you want to see more of the pavilions, the kids' craft stations are good for ten - fifteen minutes while a parent looks around. (We switched off watching the kids and looking around.)

The Kim Possible Adventure is an awesome way to see the pavilions, too. The two year old won't be able to find the clues, but would have a good time with all of the interactive, animatronic stuff that it does. My youngest was 4 the last time we were there and wanted to do Kim Possible ALL DAY.

The entertainment in great, check out the times guide for the day to see what is playing but my kids from an early age loved Off Kilter-Celtic Rock at Canada as well as The Beatles tribute band behind the UK. they would go through the hedge mze in front of the stage, dance in the street while DH and I enjoyed the music and a half-yard of beer.

The chinese acrobats were amazing too for the whole family.

Definitely want to echo what the PP's wrote. My DD was just shy of 2 when we went in Sept and she rode almost everything except the 3 rides with height restrictions.

Just wanted to add to look for the splash pad near Test Track. It was by far my daughter's favorite thing in Epcot. Just remember to bring a change of clothes! We did not, lol. So poor DD was riding around in her stroller in just a diaper while we waited for her dress to dry in the sun.

DD also really liked listening to the British Invasion/Beatles group in the UK. She danced up a storm.

thanks, tnkrbelle565.

thanks for the tips, everyone. saving for later.

:thumbsup2 yup!

My 2 yr old loved that fountain too (see video here)

In addition, he particularly liked:

trains in Germany
boat in the Land (he wanted to ride over and over)
running the maze with the other kids at England
everything about the aquarium after Nemo
looking at the cars after TT (but he's a boy with an older big brother)
seeing the water fall in Canada

Keep in mind, you can still baby switch with FP. We would "split" our two adults tickets and just get one FP for soarin and one for TT and then get the baby swap ticket. Made the chances of both mom and dad getting to ride at least once much better (and our older kids got to ride twice since baby swap allows you to take two companions so you don't have to go alone)

HTH!
