I was hoping his mom would be staying on site so I could send him there in the morning but this might not be an option. We are staying at the Wilderness Lodge so maybe he could hang out in the lobby?? He would hate this idea but I don't want to buy an extra room. We are having a lot of guests but it is looking like they will all stay off site. We do plan to see each other before the ceremony for pictures but I was hoping he wouldn't see me until I am ready. How long will it take for hair and make-up?

I may need to get my dress steamed the day before since it is a morning wedding. I don't want him to see it. I wonder if I can drape something over it.

Thanks for your help.

If people are staying offsite, I assume they will rent cars...? I don't see why his mom or anyone else on his side who is there can't pick him up in the morning and he can get ready with them.

I'm kicking my DFi out before 8am as that's when my hair and makeup will be starting. He may be spending the night in his parent's room as that way he doesn't have to get up as early to get ready (the jerk)

DH went off with his Best Man to the ESPN Club. Our wedding was later in the afternoon though. I agree with a PP that one of the guests or his DM should be able to pick him up and take him away :rotfl:

We had a 9:00am ceremony in Epcot. My hair and makeup person probably got to our room by 5:30am or so. My DH stayed there during some of my getting ready. He saw them starting to do hair and make up but definately not the finished product.

My dress was steamed the day before and was hung from the curtin rod covered with two large white sheets so he could not see the dress. We had Misty as our photographer so she did some getting ready of shots of me and some of him. Misty's husband took my DH out to the lobby and one of the lounges (we stayed at The Boardwalk) for more photos and to wait for the limo to take him to Epcot.

He did not see the finished product (me) until I walked over the bridge in Epcot in Italy.

I am staying with my parents the night before the wedding and DF is staying in our room. That way he can take his time and do whatever he needs to do that morning.

So he got ready in your room? He spent his time getting photos done while you finished getting ready? There is a good chance this is what we might do.

My cousins are thinking of staying at the Hilton in DTD and not having a car. A girlfriend of mine will be staying with her 4 kids in a condo somewhere. She is always running late plus alone with her 4 kids she will have her hands full. His mom may be staying off site at their place in Vero Beach and getting up early to drive to the wedding. I have a friend who may stay on property and I could always go get ready at her room I guess. She will probably stay at the POP. I know it sounds silly but I am really a little stuck on what to do.

Thanks everyone for all your suggestions.

I will be staying with my parents the night before at Pop Century and DF will probably stay in our room at Port Oreans. But I want to get ready in our room at PO because it's bigger and prettier, so I'm moving my stuff to get ready the morning of. My DF's dad will also be in Port Orleans so sometime in the morning he's going to take all his stuff over there to get ready before I head to our room. He has to be at the WP 30 minutes early anyway, so he's probably going to take the limo with his dad and best man there, then send it back to me to pick us up! A lot of moving but Port Orleans is so picturesque I really want to get ready there! :cloud9:

We are having a 5pm (hopefully) ceremony so we will have lots of time in the morning. The guys are all going to play golf, have lunch, and then get ready. Me and DF will spend the night together, sleep in a little, and then he will leave for golf and I won't see him again until the ceremony. Then I will get ready in out room. He will get ready in my parents or sisters room with the guys, but my parents and sister will be staying in the same hotel as us or nearby. I would either have someone pick him up or... you could book a room for one night at one of the value resorts. Depending on when your wedding is you might be able to get a really cheap rate. ( I have payed as little as $70) IMO if you can get a room this cheap it would be worth it for him to be comfortable and not having to run around. You could also maybe let his mom/parents stay in the room that night... that way they don't have a far drive after the wedding, they can stay until the next morning. It would be a nice gift to them.

My DF is a fishing nut so it is my idea to send him & some grooms men on a Disney Fishing Charter from 7:00am to 9:00am. We are having a 12:00 noon wedding and I'm having hair & make up arrive at 9:00am. We are renting the Boardwalk Grand Villa so there is plenty of room for all of us to get ready. He will get ready there and leave without seeing me and then the limo will pick me and the girls up and we will all meet at the Wedding Pavilion at 11:30. :bride:

I am thinking about a 1 BR villa so there's 2 bathrooms, lots of room for our stuff, I can close the door so he won't see me-- and whirlpool tub - win!

My DFi's mom and sister will be staying at a value so he will be spending the night and getting ready there, the limo will be picking him and his mom up from there and then picking me and my mom up at the GF.
