what to do with remaining points

Thinking what to do with measly * points that will expire at end of next year? What do you all do with points like this that wont be used. Already have our trip planned this yr wont go next year and these would be banked this year.

You could try renting them. But with only * points, that might be a bit tough. I think that most people renting are looking for more points and do not want to rent from multiple people. There could be someone out there that needs just a few more points to add a day or two. Maybe you could do a fire sell on them and someone would want to have them transferred. Do you have a friend or family member that is going and you could grace them with a few days in a studio? Or you could donate the points to some place like Make a Wish.

I have been in a similar position twice and have had no problem renting as few as 24 points. I believe David won't go that low, so people look to the R/T board if they need them. Give it a try.

thats more points than you think. Sometimes (depending on were you stay) that could amount to a 3 or 4 night stay. Lots of people in Florida can and do go for even one night. I would definiately try to rent them. Otherwise why not transfer them to someone.

thanks for all the suggestions we will possibly use em for a camping adventure it looks like camping may be low enough to use them. We arent campers however

If you can transfer them then I would do a "transfer only" listing in the rent boards. There are alot of people who would like to extend their vacation
and want to control their own ressies. Plus there would be less of a hassle for you.

I sure think this DVC is more difficult than just reserving a regular hotel stay at Disney. We are new owners and I admit I have changed resorts a whole lot but now it is impossible to change our mind about resorts and its still at 5 months out cant snag an 8 night consecutive reservation anywhere.

I have rented out as low as 13 points. It is possible if somebody has a need.
