What to do with Ohana ressie?

Hey guys! Late-20's couple...first time to Disney...there for 10 days December 8 - 18. We're on the Deluxe DP going to every signature restaurant, which takes up all but one dinner slot. We have Ohana ressie for 930pm on Sat. 12/10 with Wishes at 10, and this meal will be out of pocket. Only other slot free is a breakfast time slot on Sunday 12/18. Should I keep Ohana that late or go to bfast there on 12/18? Should we try Boma for breakfast or dinner (we will already be eating at AKL twice - Jiko/Sanaa)? Or use a restaurant.com gift certificate to eat at one of the restaurants at the Swan/Dolphin for 12/10? Then, advice on what to do with that pesky breakfast still there...grrr. These are the meals we're unsure what to do with - we're neutral about character interaction. Thank you SO much!

I wouldn't make an ADR for that late to be honest. 930pm is pretty late for me anyway. I'd go for breakfast instead. BUT thats just me.

As for Boma, again, i'd go for breakfast only because i dont like my meals sweetened with cinnamon. Most of their dishes contain cinnamon! Although given the option, I think I would much rather try one of the restaurants at Swan/Dolphin!!!!! I'd pick that over Boma.

Sounds like you guys are really into food and good meals. If I were paying OOP for a meal after eating at all the Signatures, I would book a dinner at bluezoo. If you are hitting all the Sigs, it would be a shame not to try bluezoo.

:thumbsup2Excellent advice! You could try 'Ohana at breakfast, though, but I wouldn't miss bluezoo for it. 'Ohana is my favorite of the character breakfasts, but with the trip you have planned, it would almost be tragic to miss bluezoo.

Edited to add: If you want an adult breakfast, Boma really is better food (and a huge variety) over 'Ohana. I like 'Ohana so much because I have a seven year old who loves Stitch. So on second thought, my recommendation for you would be Boma breakfast on 12/18 and bluezoo for your last dinner. Your choices will really make for an OUTSTANDING vacation!

Will you have a car or relying on Disney transportation? Boma isn't worth running over to AKL for, IMO. It's just a standard breakfast buffet that is great if staying at AKL/Kidani but not too worth going out of the way for so I would go with the breakfast at 'Ohana. I also agree with the other posters about heading to one of the Dolphin restaurants. If you are steak eaters go with Shula's and if your seafoodies go with bluezoo. :thumbsup2

You guys are the best! I'm looking at the Bluezoo menu as I speak...er, type. I think Ohana for b'fast is good...Ohana and Boma sound like "classic" b'fast food, but we are already at AKL for 2 other meals...I feel like we might get sick of going there vs. seeing Poly for the first time. PLUS, we already will be seeing Wishes from Cali Grill and will be in MK twice to see Wishes, so a 4th time of seeing it is not really necessary.

We're also in the late-20's group visiting during the same week you are, and I'm probably a little partial, but I really like late dinners at Ohana. But I also LOVE the Polynesian and couldn't imagine staying anywhere else. The place is pretty quiet by that time at night and gives you the freedom to not feel like you're rushing over there from a park. I also have Ohana reservations for later in the evening (I think 8 or 9).

I don't think you'll have any regrets going to Ohana.

I have to say I am also a HUGE fan of Ohana for late dinner especially if you can catch Wishes which sounds like you would..it's just an amazing experience....We are going in September and doing the Deluxe Dining..we did this in 09 and let me forwarn you, be prepared to ROLL out of Disney when you leave...LOL, but it will be amazing...:thumbsup2

If it's out of pocket and you want to be at the Poly to catch Wishes, could you get something a bit earlier at Kona?
