What to do with my SA auction that I won....book now or wait?

Ok. A little history.

Last July, I believe, I won an auction on Skyauction for Cypress Pointe Grand Villas......2 bedroom for Sept.. We had also won an auction for Vistana for another week in Sept.(two week vacation). You know the story of so many others..........hurricanes...........we were only able to use our week at Vistana. Skyauction has been great to work with regarding our "lost" week at CPGV. We told them we were coming back in 2005 and they said fine. Just let us know when you want us to book.

So..........here we are in Feb. and nothing has come up for 11/26/2005 or 12/3/2005 (we are going for two weeks again). These are the two dates that we will be there. I haven't gotten the other week yet (I will be trying to win another auction for the other week), I've been trying to see what week we would get at CPGV and then I would work on the other week.

Nothing is coming up (that is, the ones that we will accept) except Orbit One and Bryan Spanish Cove. They said we could book those instead.

I don't know what to do. Should I just book something now or wait to see if CPGV will come available?? I can't believe that they are booked solid for Nov./Dec..........or, do you think CP is drying up on Skyauction?? We've seen this happen with Hilton GVC and Orange Lake.

What do you guys think??

This is a RSG auction, right? If so, it's still way early for the "better" resorts to show up in the Find Weeks section. I would wait if it were me. If you go ahead and book now, you can't change should something show up a little while down the road. You still have 9 months before your trip; that is plenty of time.

Just keep checking; early morning is better, but go back often during a day because their inventory changes in the blink of an eye.

This is not an RSG auction. I won a "Cypress Pointe Grandvillas 2 bed-room" auction. It was for CPGV only. I definately want to use this because I won the auction for $10. So the week was $220. They don't happen too much anymore.

But..............the people at SA said anytime I see a resort that has availability for those weeks, I can grab it. Well, not Vistana or resorts like that (considered a high end resort). I thought that was nice of them. That includes resorts I see in the RSG auctions.

Ok. So you think Cpgv will become available?? I guess I just have to be patient. Very, very hard. I also have an email into SA asking them if they see any availability. We'll see.

Anyone else have any experience with this??

Right now, they are showing a 2 Br for a RSG for 12/9 and some 1 BRs for 12/2, so I bet something will open up between now and then. I know it's hard to wait. Last year, I was hoping to snag CPGV or someplace as nice (had gotten Orange Lake in 2003), but I got nervous and took Silver Lake. SL is nice, but I bet CPGV is nicer.

When you took SL, did you then see other places that you would have preferred come up with availability??
