I'm not very creative so I'm asking for help in stretching our budget.

What do you do with leftover (cooked) hamburgers? :confused3

TIA!!!

You could make a sort of salisbury steak, make a brown gravy and simmer them in it for a bit to make them tender. I put my fave cheese on top of the patties and serve with rice or potatoes. Yummy!!

Last week I took a left over cheese burger and topped it with mushrooms I had sauteed in butter and a bit of steak sauce. I then drizzled some A-1 over the top and feasted on my "steak". This fit my low-carb lifestyle very well--no bun.

Cruble them up and cook them with scrambled egg, onions, tomato and top with cheese. Serve over counrty potatoes.

You could also add mushrooms to the gravy and have a yummy mushroom gravy. That's always a hit with my DFi.

I put them in speghetti sauce or a little (or big depending on quantity) sheppards pie- that works great if you also need something to do with left over mashed potatos. Just break them first. I'm not very creative either LOL

Chili? Or chop up the burgers and mix w/brown gravy a serve over buttered noodles.

Reheat in the microwave and serve on a bun as usual, for lunch or snack.

Crumble on top of a homemade or frozen pizza before cooking.

We make something called "hobo stew" you take a hamburger patty (uncooked but you could just do the veggies & add them since yours are cooked) lay it inside a piece of foil, cut up carrots & potatoes put those on top of the patty, fold the foil over & bake.

We used to do something similar to this when camping as a kid. I don't remember, do you add soup mix or condensed soup or any water in the foil packet?

Put your hamburger patties in a baking dish. Slice Potatoes (thin) and onions on top of hamb patties. Add cream of mushroom soup on top of pot and onion. Do not add water to cream of mush. Cover with foil. Bake 45 min @ 350. This is so good.

Thanks Gagirl69 (I'm assuming this means you are from GA??? ME TOO!) We make this dish pretty often and it is good. I never thought about using my leftover meat for it. Thanks for the idea!

This is called a horseshoe -

You make toast (regular is fine - texas toast is best) - put the patties on top of that, french fries on top of that and cheese sauce over all of it! It is so good - not very calorie friendly, but very tasty!

You can also make chili. I am not a big recipe person but I am sure there are lots of good ones out there. That's how Wendy's makes there chili. They used the leftover, cooked hamburgers that they don't sell, some veggies and seasoning.

Yeah, I'm in Augusta, Ga. I'm getting so hungry. I'm prepping for a colonoscopy, so I can't eat any real food. Hope you enjoy your "real" food though. :goodvibes

That sounds yummy! I always have so much ground beef in my freezer because I buy it whenever it's on sale, I may just have to add this to my recipes!
