What to do with Cheerios?

Cheerios are wonderful in party mix. Just throw together some Chex, Cheerios, pretzels, peanuts and whatever, add some seasoning and bake briefly. Good stuff.

Cheerios Nuggets
Bring to a boil:
1 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. margarine
1/4 c. light corn syrup

Boil 2 minutes. Remove from heat. Stir in 1/2 tsp. baking soda till light brown.

Stir in:
6 c. Cheerios
1 c. peanuts (I like using cocktail peanuts)
1 c. raisins

Spread out in greased 13x9 pan. Bake at 250 degrees for 15 minutes. Remove from oven, stir, cool. After about 30 minutes, break into egg-size chunks. Yum!

I think this is the treat recipe I make. It looks right, from memory. I do mine on the stove though. They don't last long around here!
