What to do, where to stay in Toronto?

How far away is the Delta Chelsea from Torono's baseball park? Is it within walking distance?

I walk it on a daily basis (twice a day). I live beside the Rogers' Centre (our baseball park) and work beside the Delta Chelsea. It's about a mile and a half (maybe a mile and three quarters) and it is an easy walk (side walks all the way).

Thank you for the info! Do you think it's safe to walk at night? I've never been to Toronto, we were thinking of getting a cab, bus back to the hotel, but if it's nice we might walk.

I'd have no worries walking home after a game, personally. But you could also get a cab (though I'd probably walk a bit away from the game, just to make it easier). Or take the subway (which, I think, is better than the bus for what you are doing, because the only bus that I could see being helpful is not nearly as frequent as the subway) - the walk to the subway or bus is probably almost halfway to the hotel though.

I measured and the walk is about 1.6 miles (I run marathons, so sometimes my version of "walkable" isn't the same as other people's, so I thought I'd figure out the real distance).

PM me if you'd like more specific walking/TTCing (our bus/subway system) details.

Planning a trip to Toronto to see a show at the Ed Mirvish Theatre this summer and looking for a convenient hotel and any recommendations for good restaurants or "must do's" in or around Toronto.

Thank you!!!

I would HIGHLY recommend the Residence Inn in the Entertainment District:

Its right smack dab in the middle of the Entertainment District. The theatre is 8 minutes from the hotel by car or 25 minutes walking accordingly to Google Maps.

It also gets great reviews on Tripadvisor:

The property is very, very CLEAN, staff are super, and an excellent hot and cold breakfast buffet is included. The suites are large and great for families.

You would be steps from the CN Tower and the Rogers Centre.

I must agree with the other posters who suggest a City Pass. They are a great value if you plan on spending several days in Toronto.

Thank you so much! I think we could do the walk just fine, I'm excited for the trip! I'll definitely pm you if I need any more help, esp. with the subway. I'm still trying to figure out what I want to see the most, we are only there for 2 days.

When are you going to Toronto? We are going this summer as well!!
We are hitting Niagara Falls June 25-27 and then Toronto the 27-29 :cutie:

BTW - you can walk almost the whole way from the Delta Chelsea to the Rogers' Centre without going outside.
