Just noticed yesterday that there were annual pass rates that we could take advantage of... We'd have to go in January because our pass is running out. We'd go MLK week so that we'd only have to take the kids out of school for 4 days.

I like to try to get away during the winter because I can't stand to be here in the cold the whole winter :p

Anyway here's the dilemma. We've been to Disney the last 3 winters. We love it, but since seeing the rates and seeing it's doable, I just haven't gotten excited. I'm not sure why, maybe because it's so soon into the winter and we'd have to plan it quick and go (not a huge problem, we're spontaneous!)

Several years back we had a fall trip to Disney's Hilton Head Island planned and had to cancel. I've always wanted to go there and check it out, but we never got around to it after the cancelled trip. Our other option for a winter trip would be President's Day week when we wouldn't have to take the kids out of school. We definately wouldn't go to WDW that week, but could do Hilton Head. People say you can go there anytime (we've never been so we're not sure of the weather and such!) But at the same time i'm worried we may be bored there? We generally spend a couple days doing the parks, the rest swimming, biking around the resorts and checking out things like the boardwalk and the animals at AKL.

Any pros/cons to either/both? I guess my big fear would be taking the plunge and going with Hilton Head. The pro's to it are better time of winter, plus vacation week for kids. Also cheaper and closer. We'd drive to either one, we're from MA. Does anyone know where I could find out the most info on their activities?

If you are thinking of swimming the ocean will be way to cold in HH. I've gone a few times in October b/c a good friend lives there and it was too codl to swim...if you want warmth go to FL
