Raul and I would really like to wear the bride and groom ears. Unfortunately, the top hat does not fit him very well. It will stay on the top of his head, but looks a bit silly. Has anyone run into this problem? Suggestions? :confused3

That's VERY common. DH only wore them 2 days because they just didn't fit. We saw several other grooms with the same problem. If you can get them early, there is a way to stretch them. Hopefully someone will come along that knows more about that. Otherwise, just let him wear them if he will...DH still looked cute and I love the pictures with us both in the ears.

I've never read of a groom who COULD fit the tophat on his head. I don't think they were meant for us fat-headed folks!

Anyways.. my hubby stretched his but it still made his forehead break out.

Some people just take the ears off and put them on another hat.

That's what we did...we bought the child's Mickey ears just for the ears since that hat is cheaper. Then went to a party store to find a top hat that would actually fit. Then I took the ears from the Mickey ears and put them on the top hat...now we have one that fits! :thumbsup2

You could just buy bride and groom hats from the knot or other online wedding stores, put the ears from the mickey hats on and decorate. I think this is what I will end up doing. It will be more comfortable and it will be quite fun to make!

Just put him on the JC and stop at the Headshrinker and he will be just fine. :lmao:

Things don't look right because you are not use to seeing him that way wear it and if it doesn't grow on you then have him take it off.

the ears didnt fit gary so he went around for the 2 weeks with stitch ears on!!

That top hat was tight for my DH too...but he was such a trooper, wore it pretty much all the time in the September heat and humidity!

I would second making matching hats, I was going to make us matching bride and groom baseball caps, but I'm not really a hat person. I did make my headband and ears though...and it's REALLY easy! Especially if you have some other ears hanging around you could either use or trace from.

We are having the same problem. We were in Disney this past January and decided to get a head start and pick up the Mickey and Minnie headband/top hat for us to wear for our wedding and honeymoon in August. My fiance has a HUGE head (I love him to pieces but his head is just gigantic!) so we knew there was NO way the top hat was going to fit. So what I am going to do is buy a nice fitted plain black hat (he is a guy who ALWAYS wears hats so he will like this better) and reattach the ears onto the black baseball hat. Hope this helps!

I've seen someones pictures (can't remember if it was here or over at the Disneymooner board) they did the same thing, got a black baseball cap and attached the ears onto that. It look quite good. I think I may do this.

I have the same problem with those top hats. I have a small head, plus I shave my hair cuz I barely got any, so I love this idea   Thanks!!!
