What to do on the "Off Day"at resort?

We sleep in, do the pool, and go to Disney Springs for shopping and dinner, then back to the resort for an early night.

We do the same but also take a walk around to see whats going on at the boardwalk and come back a little later from Disney Springs..

We love the surrey bikes! You can get three laps in in the 30-minute rental window. A lot of fun!

Then go to Ample Hills.

We have been doing the bikes for many years our best amount of laps has been 6....we average 3 laps now that their bigger and pedal like girls oh wait they are girls....:rotfl2:

They love Ample Hills....now it just a short walk not a 45 minute drive to Brooklyn...:thumbsup2

We have been staying at BC since our twins were around age 2 and it was/is by far the resort where we find the most non-park things to do. Just walking around the boardwalk is fun, and when my kids were younger we tried to time things to watch the magician and entertainment on the boardwalk. Espn Club is fun for a drink/snack/lunch. Walking to mini golf was a must-do every trip (and still is), and along the way we'd stop in a little play area around the Swan/Dolphin area for a bit. At night, we still enjoy renting a surrey bike, and we try to time it with Illuminations so we can see fireworks while we ride. But, of course, the main attraction is SAB and up until around age 11-ish, we could've stayed at SAB all day. I know a lot of families feel the opposite of how I feel, but SAB was perfect for us with really young kids. We just lived in that sandy shallow section of the pool. My kids never ventured or even asked to go in the other pool sections until they were much older, and by then they were strong swimmers so we didn't worry. One of my kids got interested in the big slide a couple years sooner than my other kid, so we'd just split up and go one adult with one kid. It's too large of a complex to let the younger kids roam free, so that's the only downer that sometimes the family has to split up for a little bit. Otherwise, it was perfection for us, mainly when the kids were very young.

How about fishing? The guides are great and they do everything for you except reel them in (for those who are squeamish). We had a blast fishing inside of World Showcase Lagoon, but that was very early. You can charter a guide for midafternoon...

You can do disney springs. Check out the activities that are going on at the resort. You are in a good location as at the BW area there is evening entertainment. You can monorail resort hop with a stop at trader sams at the poly (kids can go in until 8pm).

Since you have a car, I would drive over to the Winter/Summerland mini golf. We also enjoy Fantasia Gardens and you can walk there from Beach Club. If you don't have a car, it's a hassle to get over to the Winter/Summerland course, which is why I recommend it when you have a car. You might also want to go check out the Tri-Circle D ranch and see the horses.

Have a great trip!
