What to do on the last night

Hi all,

I posted yesterday about help evaluating our plan as this is our first trip, and in reading the responses I think I should re-evaluate our last day. We're going mid October, leaving for home on the morning of Tues 21. Its myself, DH, and 6 year old DD. I'd like our last night to be something special but am having a hard time deciding what it should be.

Earlier in the week we will already have done the following:
Breakfast at Cinderella's castle
Breakfast at Tusker House
Lunch at Hollywood & Vine
Dinner at Ohana followed by watching HalloWishes from either the Poly beach or the TTC

Our last day is our Epcot day, we'll rest/swim the first half of the day and go in the afternoon. I don't have any ADR's scheduled. While I'd love to do Akershus instead of CRT, DD is really fixated on the castle so I don't want to drop it, and I think two princess/castle meals is more than we need. We have also thought about Chip N Dale's sing along at Ft. Wilderness for hot dogs and a movie, but that might depend on what movie they're showing that night. Plus it could be time consuming coming and going.

We've got a pretty full week prior so that's why I was leaving this open, in case we just want to relax at the hotel. But now that seems anticlimactic.

So... suggestions?? Something great at Epcot or nearby I haven't thought of?

Thanks!

Nothing more special than ending your vacation with Illuminations at Epcot.
You'll probably be tired from all of the large meals so how about catching a smaller meal in "The Land" pavilion as a family (everyone can pick their own station to go to).

Another option would be something on the lighter side outside of the Mexican pavilion, sit on the patio and watch Illuminations while you eat a Chipotle-like meal. You could also grab different items from some of the food stands from the Epcot Food & Wine Festival and share meals from what each person has discovered. Don't forget the free concerts at the American Pavilion during the festival. Pizza would be another option I would consider at that great pizza place in the rear of Italy.

Wishing you a wonderful trip!

I agree that Illuminations is a great way to end a trip!

If you are looking for a special meal, try the Garden Grill at the Land Pavilion. The food is incredible and your daughter will get to see Mickey, Pluto, Chip and Dale. If you are a Chase Disney Rewards Card member, you can go over to the special photo session with Mickey and Pluto prior to dinner.

Another idea, if you are heading to FW, is to also take a wagon ride. You can catch one at 8:30, following Chip and Dale's campfire sing along.

It sounds like you have an amazing trip planned filled with lots of pixie dust:!

I agree with others, Illuminations is a nice way to end your trip. You could get a late night ice cream @ Beaches and Cream before heading back to your resort. I made an ADR for 9:50 one night so we could walk (or boat) over to the Beach Club after Illuminations.

We end each trip @ MK..eat dinner @ Crystal Palace and watch Wishes.

Have a great trip!

Nancy

Thanks y'all! I guess Illuminations should have been obvious with an Epcot day, huh?? I was distracted by MK's EMH that night, but by ruling that out we won't need hoppers.

Question - is Illuminations loud, like fireworks? One reason we're watching HalloWishes from outside the park is because DD is really sensitive to loud noises and doesn't do well when fireworks are really close. (The other reason is we're not buying MNSSHP tix.)

Also, does anyone know if the princesses found around World Showcase stay until evening?

Thanks!
