We are going to Wdw next month. Got the flights for $15 each from the Frontier promo.

We just now got our $$ for hotel etc so I am just starting to make reservations

DH wants to golf a few times. Any good ideas (and budget ones are good!) for things I can do while he golfs?

Go to the Wilderness lodge and rent a bike and bike over to the Fort Wilderness camp grounds. There is a paved bike path between the two resorts. Along the way you might see some deer along the bike path. Once at the camp ground go visit the animals or just bike around the resort.

Go to AKL and view the animals on the savannah.

I second Shelley's suggestion :) I haven't ridden a bike at home in years, but just loved the peaceful ride between the Lodge and the campgrounds, and then around the various loops of the campground.

Also from the Lodge, you can rent a little mouseboat and drive around the lake for a bit. Either that, or for a fair chunk of change ($100?) you can take a tour of either Epcot or the Campgrounds via Segway. Maybe a fun activity for you and your hubby to do together.

When we last went kidless, we did a segway tour, a behind the scenes tour, we rented a convertible and went out to the coast and we just generally did things that would be too expensive had we taken the whole family.

Enjoy your vacation :)

Didn't know that there are segways at WDW! Maybe DS and I will do it on our trip in Dec! FIrst time for us Childless too but LOOKING FORWARD to it! We are taking a sleigh ride in Dec a holiday tour through FtWilderness. IF warm enough do the 1 hour guided Jet Ski tour on bay lake . To save some bucks you could both ride on 1 jet ski. FUN!!! Enjoy your childless trip together!

We haven't taken a non-kid trip in 22 years.
Not sure when that will actually happen. (When it does, it will not be WDW). All our current trip plans include our kids 21/19.
Have fun OP!

Im going to do the segway and were going to do hidden mickeys this time along with trading pins. We own a boat just like the small mouse boats and we so love it. If your into boats is a kick in the pants. I'm going to rent one if we have time because we have a bit less then 3 months here to ride. They are so much fun. Im going to get a stereo for hubby for Christmas for ours. Its s o fast we can pull a knee boarder behind it. Its 4ft wide and 8 feet long and seats 2 people. Fun fun fun.

Wdw was the last trip I took when pregnant with the first so it is fitting first empty nest trip plus the $15 air fare was too good to turn down.

Love the bike and mouse boat and jet ski ideas !

That promo was a really good deal. Tried looking into it for my family, but nothing worked. I take it you are flying in from the Denver area.

Agreed that it would be hard to turn down a great airfare like that. It would probably make me think twice about using it, that's for sure.

We went for our anniversary in 2009 without the kids. DH did play golf while I spent the day at DTD shopping. We played minigolf together, which was hysterical. Never had done that without kids. We resort hopped for dinner each night. And my favorite was sitting on the beach at the Poly holding hands watching the Wishes.

We went for our 25th anniversary without the kids. It was fabulous! Only ate where we wanted to eat. :-). I found an illuminations cruise to share which was wonderful. We also went to the MVMCP. Paying for 2 is much more reasonable than paying for the family. Haha.
