What to do on Boardwalk?

I try to do at least one run a few times around the boardwalk and down the canal each trip. Nothing long, usually between 6 and 10 miles. It is the best run on property IMO.

Boardwalk is pretty plan a meal or snack around it and it will feel worth it.

We are going there after mini golf. It looks like we can walk there from Fantasia but still have to find out.

We are going to the new ice cream place.

Yes it's an easy walk from Fantasia there's a path from there to the Swan and Dolphin then through to the Boardwalk. Once there you can walk round to the international gateway. Take a look on Google maps and it becomes obvious I would suggest that from Fantasia to Boardwalk is about 10mins. Hope this helps

I Love the Swan and Dolphin and has been my main place to stay on the last two trip and my up coming trip.

As we always get an amazing deal (compared to the other hotels in the Boardwalk Area) Know it's not official Disney but with the free transport, EMH and the in room purchasing delivery and the fact they do a character breakfast I think it's great.

Especially now as they are doing it all up, lovely, but in a few spots it was a bit dated.

Although one of the main reason we stay there is the Boardwalk area, I find it just so relaxing with all the benches and big open walkways, I feel I am able to Stroll there.

Sometimes with the madness of the parks and the really busy periods you can get at Disney springs it nice to have a little saunter along the promenade.

I find there is lots of stuff to do, from the shops, places to eat and places to drink, Love Joe's Marvelous Margarita Hut as I can get a beverage then keep on walking.

I also think, well for my family anyway, and to be fair we've only done this in Oct and Nov time so I'm not sure how it will transfer in the summer months, I find it much quicker to walk to either Epcot IG or HS rather than the Transport, even the boats.

Know you'll have a great trip as the Swan hotel is so handy, as at the end of the long day you can watch illuminations, then jump out of the IG, walk around the boardwalk stopping for Ice Cream, Slice of Pizza and a Margarita (for the over 21's) then back into your lovely room to rest up for another fun day ahead.

Thank you for all this! You had me at Margaritas and Ice Cream I felt like we were 'settling' on the Swan this time, but now I'm kind of excited to stay in that area! To watch Illuminations, we can just walk over to the IG from the Swan and is the IG where we watch illuminations from or where do we go from there? Planning on going back on our epcot day to watch this. I've never entered Epcot from the back. Need to find a map

We love The Boardwalk area including swan and dolphin because you can get away from all the hustle and bustle of the parks but still walk to two parks. We look at it as walking to epcot and hs is better for us than being at a monorail resort because we spend more time at epcot and hs combined than at mk alone. Hopefully others dont feel this way so the resort prices in the Boardwalk area stay lower than the monorail loop. I would have no problem staying at the swan or dolphin but we get better rates renting dvc points for the Boardwalk resort. Enjoy your vacation and you should be looking forward to spending time at what we consider one of the hidden gems of WDW.

Take a stroll over the Beach Club and eat dinner at the Cape May Cafe. The buffet style dinner has everything you can possibly imagine on it. It is wonderful. If you are into sports you can try the ESPN which has great food and TV's all over the place with sporting events going on all the time.
