Other than the zoo and sea world??

We will be at DL December 1-7, but are thinking about flying into San Diego on November 30. We would spend the night there and then drive up to DL on the 1st.

Our kids will be 7 and 4.

Thanks!

Midway aircraft carrier is in the harbor and you can drive up the ocean coast some beautiful scenery. Also some of the first Catholic missions are there run up the west coast date back to the 1700 hundreds. There is different museums there but check San Diego's web site you can get all the info there.

Balboa Park has a number of museums and gardens in addition to the Zoo.
Old Town San Diego is a historical site, but may not hold kids' interest for long.

Legoland is drivable, but in Carlsbad. The Safari Park is also outside of the city. There's also the Brich Aquarium in La Jolla.

See this site for photos of some of these places.

Thank you both for the info! It seems like there will be some things to see for about half a day. :thumbsup2

Torrey Pines Gliderport, LaJolla. Breathtaking views of the coast, and gliders riding the currents. LaJolla Cove, you'll see more seals and sea birds along the coast than any man made exhibit. LaJolla is a beautiful town with lots of upscale stores, galleries, and restaurants. It's just north of San Diego.

I second the midway! DD5 loves it has been a couple of times but she really likes planes so that helps. I love the history.
