What to do for tickets & Dining for part of reservation?

I didn't say that. I simply didn't realize that every person had to be named for the entire period of time. In other words, what if someone was coming for 1 night? Would you put that person on the reservation for the whole week? That seems a bit absurd.

We are talking about 2 nights in this case, which would leave 5 nights worth of DDP extra. A waste for us. I think we'll wind up opting out of the DDP this time.

DH was only coming for 2 nights out of the 5 when I was at BCV in May, but because we wanted him to have a key, yes, he was on the reservation for the whole week. Will she be using ME?
Once, we also tried to add 2 people for a 1 night stay with us, (within occupancy limits) and in the end our entire reservation was cancelled before the desk computer let them add the 2 names. That was a scary few hours for us, but the CM's at the desk did assure us that we didn't really lose the room. To this day, that last day of the trip does not show up on "past vacations" on the DVC site.

As it happens, this is turning out to be a little choice, no brainer. G-Mom is taking the ME when she checks on on the 2nd day of the 2nd ressie. So, she absolutely has to be on the reservation anyway. I think we're going to save ourselves the $280 that we would essentially waste by adding her to the DDP & we're going to opt out of DDP this time. Based on past experience, we think we would be "forcing" ourselves, so to speak, to use the extra credits. I think it'll all work out and we're going to be a bit more relaxed this time by not running around trying to get to our dining reservations (good for me, being 5 mos. prego). We don't really eat desserts or appetizers anyway popcorn::

I'm going to seriously keep track of how much we spend and will bring back results to the board.
