I have officially assigned one day in the middle of our trip as an "off day" and we aren't going to the parks. But there was no way we were just sittin' around, lol.

We are having breakfast at 1900 Park Fare and DS has a Pirate Cruise right after leaving DH, DD and me with 2 hours free. DH has been wanting a massage for a while so I am calling tomorrow to book him one during DS's cruise. That leaves DD(2) and me with some quality girl time. I know that the GF has tea but since it will be so soon after breakfast I am not sure if that is a good idea, but I know she would love it.

I know we want to stick around the GF or even take a boat (can you walk?) to the Poly? Any ideas or help would be greatly appreciated!!!

There are so many fun things to do but honestly with a 2yo I would keep it low key. Anything you do together will be great for her. I think the boat ride itself would be fun for her, you could get off at te Poly or do a round trip. A trip to the pool for 1-1 time or maybe even just shopping at the nice shops at the GF?

If she likes animals you could go to the AKL and see the animals at the Lodge. Its a beautiful place and there are some fun kids activities as well. Most are free but some have a fee.

Our DS did the pirate thing a few years back. DH, DD, and I walked on the path to the Poly right after dropping him off and looked around a bit. We also had a Dole whip from the snack bar and just sat outside and enjoyed the weather. After, we took a quick ride around on the Monorail, got off at the GF, and looked around there at the grounds and (shops) until it was time to pick DS up. It was very calm and relaxing.

Why don't you hop on the Monorail and visit some of the more elaborate hotels? Poly would be a great stop, or maybe just take a ride around the loop through MK and EP? Take one of the boats across the lake to MK entrance and take the monorail back to GF?? Take her swimming?

For a 2 year old take a pail and shovel and play on the beach at the GF. Super fun, and relaxing.

Thank you all for the advice. I think exploring and sitting on the beach is going to be the winner. Is there a beach at the Poly or just the GF? Do you have to be a guest at the resort to sit there? We are staying at the Wilderness.

DD2 LOVED the boat rides from the MK to the Poly. It was very relaxing, too. I could have ridden back and forth all day long! Take all the boat rides you can, get some Mommy/Daughter snuggle time in. :)
